Philadelphia area Turf Club Preakness oddity: No Superfecta Wagering
Hello all,
A close friend of mine who hasn't played in years went to a local Turf Club here on Preakness day and saw signs saying "No Superfecta betting on Preakness". I asked him if they meant that they were not honoring the 10 cent minimum available on track at Pimlico, but he said they weren't allowing any superfecta wagering. This is at the Oaks location. Has anyone else heard about this, or what the rationale is? It stinks if people couldn't bet it from a major metropolitan area like Philly, and also that it would suppress the handle. Joe |

I went there for Derby, they had the Super for $1 as per CD. I played from home on Fri and Sat and went through Parx and TVG and sure I played them on both. I might have played Preakness super on TVG.
That's all I'm allowed by this crazy law to play (Parx or TVG, by restrictions of my zip code). Hoping Stronach takes over and we can throw Parx PhoneBet in the trashcan and get XPressbet. |

Concordville Turf Club took them, just checked.
All seem to be different now. Oaks has smoking and wifi, Concordville doesn't. Center City was closed up a few weeks back with just a handwritten sign on the door. |
