Saratoga Wednesday August 3rd
Race 2:
#8 Littlemissbusiness: Repeat of her last puts her in the winner's circle. #7 Splash of Sass: Worth a shot as a bomb. Dirt races are decent enough and this is a suspect bunch. #5 Smart Alex: Terranova generally good plunging at the Spa but unknown how she returns off the shelf. Race 3: #7 Scarlet Goddess is SCR... #4 Hot Dudette: Gullo 29% off the claim in dirt sprints @ SAR. Looks the speed of the speed. #2 Gianna's Dream #1 Frostie Anne Race 4: #9 Sugar Reef: Decent debut and should be sharper with the shades on. #1 Alabama Bound: Two photos from being a winner... #10 John's Catnip: Numbers aren't far off and her races here last year weren't that bad. #7 Out of Nowhere Race 5: #10 Harvard Man: Ran in some quality races early as a 2yo before hitting testing ground and then AWT. Back where he belongs turf sprinting. #8 Ross J Dawg: Don't know if he's got the speed to go 5.5 but the race is quite light in quality. #12 Honorable Daniel: Just always seems to get run down. #2 Pine Ridge Forest: For a turf sprint there isn't a lot of early foot and he may be able to hang on for a share. Race 6: #5 Waco: Looks to have gone off form but those races were poly, inner track (previous poor race on that surface), and sloppy. Loves this course and he won off last year off the shelf off a similar "missed" last week of work. 5yo gelding doesn't appear to have much racing value so the drop to 32k seems fine, especially with that bullet earlier this month. #6 Monster Mash: Another that crushed here last year and returns to the scene with hot connections off a confidence boosting win. #4 Brewing: Runs into a tough group for his first time in for a tag, but he shouldn't be 20-1 ML. Extremely matched group that can barely be separated by numbers...worth taking a price here... Will try to get to the Late P4 later... $0.60 Pick Five Race 2: 5, 7, 8 Race 3: 2, 4 Race 4: 1, 9 Race 5: 8, 10, 12 Race 6: 4, 5, 6 $64.80 $0.60 Early Pick Four Race 3: 2, 4 Race 4: 1, 7, 9, 10 Race 5: 2, 8, 10, 12 Race 6: 4, 5, 6, 9 $76.80 + cover 2, 4/1, 9, 10/10/3, 7, 10, 11, 12 ($18.00) = $94.80 Good luck! Race 7:
#9 Imflatoutsweet: Beyers are low but the BRIS #s fit. Drops out of stakes company for the 3yo bow and Clement is 6 4-0-1 non-maiden females first with turn going route to sprint. #5 Sashay: Four photos from being undefeated sprinting on the turf. Winners from the first two under this barn came back to win next out and she then romped with the shades on. Working well over the course, but Stidham is 17 0-1-0 on the turf at NYRA since 1/1/11. #3 Bruised Orange: Has to fly from the inside and will have to be game to hold on. #6 Saharan #2 always comes (too) late and can't be left out of the exotics. Race 8: #6 Theophilia: Came off a similar layoff to win over this course and distance last year. Taking a shot on the youngster to improve as a 4yo, and she gets 8lbs. #3 Wavell Avenue: Her race to lose, but I've never been her biggest fan and she'll be odds-on. #1 Shayjolie: This is much, much easier than her most recent races, but she's got the long layoff to contend with. Not sure about the 7f but there is the aforementioned Clement stat (from Race 7). #4 Promise Me Silver: Back in form, but her burning my money here last year still stings. Reported to have some bleeding/sick issues around that time, but wary that maybe she just didn't like the surface. Race 9: #10 Conquest Superstep: Wasn't enamoured with this one here last year, but she ran well enough that day as well as last out where she moved a little wide and early off the shelf. Nice string of prep works. #11 Ack Naughty: Best on form but is a money-burner that can't be trusted. #3 Singsong: Doesn't need to speed off like she did last out and should be fitter for this. #5 Sugar Mags #2 has one work... Race 10: #12 Chico Grande: Servis is deadly off the claim with males at the Spa. First two races win this easily. #10 Here Comes R J: Missed a final work last out when the beaten fav and now Nevin has had more time with him. #16 How Frosty It Is is SCR... #13 Sky Chaparral: Form is better than it appears and will be lost on the toteboard. #11 Buckwellspent: Asmussen hits at a high clip in these spots. Not the biggest fan of #2 and #4 but have to include in the final leg. $0.60 Late Pick Four Race 7: 3, 5, 6, 9 Race 8: 1, 3, 6 Race 9: 10, 11 Race 10: 2, 4, 10, 11, 12, 13 $86.40 |

The 2 in the 10th feels like an absolute standout to me. I'm expecting 4-5 at post time.

Last 1/8th in 7 sec brought field together and made closing kick look better than it was. Wouldn't trust anyone in this field at 4/5.
