Default How good were Pharoah and Chrome ?

Hoppertunity & Frosted say.........really freaking good.
Just about anytime these two guys got away from the first ballot HOF dudes they tore it up winning Graded Stakes left and right.
For Hoppertunity the Chrome nightmare started way back in the Santa Anita Derby of 2014, and continued all the way through the entire year of 2016.
Last Saturday was the most recent example of what Hoppertunity could do in the San Antonio @ Santa Anita.
Earlier it was the Gr. 1 JCGC at Belmont......Hoppertunity skated right by that field right around the final Pole.
And Frosted just couldn't get near American Pharoah as a 3yo.......when he didn't have to face AP in the Wood/PA. Derby he got to show what a really good horse he was.
Of course he ran into Chrome in Dubai, and then went bonkers in the Met Mile/Whitney.
If Hoppertunity could somehow pull off a victory in Dubai, it would seem fitting for one of the games underappreciated grinders.

You forgot when Hoppertunity ran against Intense Holiday, Noble Bird, Hard Aces, Catch A Flight, Smooth Roller, Imperative, Effinex, Race Day, Melatonin, and Gun Runner.

You forgot when Frosted ran against Leave The Light On, Upstart, Texas Red, Keen Ice, and Shaman Ghost.

Hoppertunity is a good solid horse. A grinder, admirable. Doug Salvatore liked him a lot really early on.
