Thanks all. Fun day at Arlington with Danny K.
The AP tourney is a live money event with simulcasting, so there are 6 tracks to choose from during the course of the Arlington live card. I had a nice exacta and trifecta in the 2nd at Arlington and opened up a big lead, which I proceeded to squander over the course of the next 3 hours. Needing something to finish in the top 4, I had a $5 tri in the Arlington Handicap where I keyed Kasaqui and Ghost Hunter. The last race at Arlington came in 7-9-12 and I missed, but would have had a $15 tri if it came in 9-7-12 and that would have been enough to win when you factor in the withholding that would have counted towards my overall score. Can't complain because I made money on the day and got the NHC spot. Looking forward to the "new" event in the larger convention space at TI. Best of luck to anyone else trying to qualify! Nick
