Who in the world decided to scratch Modern Games and take him out off the betting pool. I'm very glad for his connections - he is a beautiful horse. But the bettors have a right to be very unhappy.

I believe it was the veterinarian who originally said he should be out because he thought he got scratched when the other horse reared up in the stall
Then upon examination they realized he was OK and put him back in Unfortunately only for the purse money which really messed up a lot of people at the bedding windows |

PER BLOODHORSE
As the would-be favorite, many of the fans in attendance had wagered on Modern Games but they were not rewarded for their selection as he raced for the purse only. They greeted the outcome with loud boos. For betting purposes, the winner was considered to be Tiz the Bomb , who finished second. He was followed by third-place Mackinnon . |

What a debacle. Modern Times named as a scratch then allowing him to run was an insane decision. If you were watching on TV the folks in the grandstands were also upset at the decision. Huge boos. Yikes!
As to the scoring I'm going with DRF: 4 Tiz the Bomb 6 Mackinnon 11 Grafton Street |
