If he's out of the woods physically, Santa Anita should lobby to get him out west for the Hollywood Gold Cup on May 29. He'd be the first 3yo since the great Round Table to win the race, which might help his cause if it were to be a close race for the 3yo Eclipse at the end of the year.

But more importantly, it would save the race from being demoted to a Grade 3...
