Tagg is still considering sending either Elysium Fields or Big Truck in the Arkansas Derby.

You know who is a fascinating horse in here... Indian Sun. Has been hanging around all winter/spring and Hendricks is trying everything he knows to get him figured out. Quirky horse... Hendricks says he's lazy and arrogant, tough to ride and to motivate. Seems to have a breakthrough race in him and is bred nicely for a route of ground (Alleged mare)...

I'm lazy and arrogant too....and judging by the prospective field there doesn't seem to be any reason I shouldn't enter that race as well.

Out of curiousity Steve, is there any trainerspeak that you don't buy? It's a rhetorical question.

You beat me to the punch on this post. I have a feeling this guy is 'sneaky' good and may be able to get a piece of this field. He needs some pace to run at and this could be a good spot. Maybe the switch to dirt will be the key. I plan on having a King's Silver Son/Indian Sun exacta box as part of my wagers on the Ark Derby.

I also think that King's Silver Son has a tremendous upside on turf, especially distance races. Would be curious to know what Lauren Stich would say.

You are not kidding! There easily could be a Sir Cherokee in this crew. Maybe it's my sentimental fave "Golden Yank"

Sir Cherokee would have crushed Valhol (Patin buzzer or no buzzer).

I would hope that this field of goats would put an end to all of those people clamoring for the Arkansas Derby to be a grade one.

I like Blackberry Road because I have him at 75-1 for the Derby, but I really do think that he will be sent off the favorite in the Arkansas Derby against this field. Who does anyone else feel will be the favorite?

Let's see. The Kentucky Derby is run on dirt. The Arkansas Derby is run on dirt. Big talk coming from California. Goats, eh? See you at the windows.
