That would be who? The race still has to run and Big Brown has along road to travel for the first leg and with the patched up hoofs he has I would say No triple crown.

I'd like to see how many go onto the Preakness before I say a word about a Triple Winner. Does he have what it takes, maybe. History not on his side going into this one so he's already bucking the odds.

Mate with all the patchs and after this 1 1/4 on what was a sealed and scraped track that they never opened up I would say Big Brown's feet are going to be alittle sore tonight.

Great race and I would hpoe that he comes back with no problems for the next race, Mate.

Wow. We don't even wait an hour to begin this conversation anymore huh?

He was certainly impressive today, but he doesn't strike me as an ideal candidate for the Belmont.

However, it might be nice to know who is actually going to run in those races before handicapping them.

There isn't a horse who can beat him if you count current form.

Will he hold together is the real question.

Tale of Ekati was a drunken sailor before the stretch run and he still held for 4th.

4 of the first 5 ran very near the lead today. DOC was the only closer who actually closed!! YEs, you'll have 5 more weeks to hear about him.

I hope not man, cause this horse is on his way to putting all the lazy/uniformed handicapper cliches to rest.

1) can't win from the 12 at GP
DONE

2) inexperienced horses can't win the derby ---look at CURLIN
DONE

3) can't win from the 20 hole at CD

DONE

4) inexperienced horses can't win the Preakness on short rest
??

5) ditto; and progeny index says he can't get the distance ---BELMONT
??

I can see all the BIGTIMERS next year (and on) not being able to rely on cliches when they can't get a gauge on a horse. Gonna be brutal, whether BB wins the TC or not. Imagine all that extra work.
