Default Mountaineer tonight early double.

In the 1st race i'm going out on a limb and single the 2.This has been working well at Finger Lakes and the trainer ships her to Mountaineer.i like Is It True as a sire.Since this horse is not a NY bred she was not eligible for the bigger purse that NY offers.I'm thinking that the straight maidens up there don't go for 24k like she's running for today.Rex Stokes takes the mount which is a positive thing. The 2nd is not a good one other but i have to pick something.I'll use the 1,3,6,7 and 9.Good luck.

The 9 beats me in the 2nd. The 3 runs second and the 7 ran 4th.
All in all, a $22 winner in the first and not a thing to show for it....

Well Kev i just bet the late double.2,3,4/5,9.I think there will be as Tom Durkin would say a protracted speed duel in the 9th race and one of those 3 horses will pick up the pieces.Good luck to you.I'm off to bed.

well....we were all over it last night...just not close enough. I just miss the early one and then you finish 2nd in the 9th to go along with your $17 winner in the last.

There's always next time...

Well Kev last night was one that annoyed me.I had the right idea about the 2 in the 1st but that didn't bother me as much as the 9th race did.I knew in my heart that the 7 was the fastest out of the gate and that the 1 was slow and the 6 had route speed. The 7's victorys were both at Mountaineer with this rider. The 5 was conterfeit speed.I do think the double was a little small beating 2 favorites in the 9th and being the longest shot on the board.
