Default Serling in the paddock @ Sar

Think Andy is doing a nice job, a natural, but what happened to Jen? Did he mute her?

It's just nice to have someone with an informed OPINION on these shows.

For example, his comments on the 6th race concerning the trips of the (overbet) favorite, Pegasian and the better value, Burnished Copper (who had a worse trip than the favorite last out) were spot on, albeit OBVIOUS.

Unfortunately, while obvious to someone watching races, they're anything but to the typical crew commenting on these shows.

The dude needs to be a regular on these shows. Simple as that.

Most likely day off, the NYC OTB guys & gals don't do the Monday morning shows live either.

Maybe Jen is Andy in drag .

Seriously. I just prefer more veterans of the business in prime spots. You need to rise through the ranks, imo, to really appreciate the fruits of your efforts.

I congratulate Mr Serling ( Andy, not Rod) on his new position.

It would only be about ten years too late. I would love to see (or at least hear) Andy do the paddock show.

Jose Espinoza seems to get the most out of his mounts....today he was on two 15-1 shots w/a 2nd and 1st. I've always had decent luck w/him when he is riding.

Channing Hill too. He had a heck of a day, and props to him for keeping the faith at the Spa. The guy can ride if you give him a mount.

The replays are better on CALRACING and they're also free --- with headons.

I haven't tried NYRA recently.

In a colony of over-rated riders, Espinoza is under-rated. He's a particularly good grass rider.

On to the thread topic... Andrew was brilliant as usual delivering with high energy insight from the Siro's morningcast through the Paddock Preview Show and the 10 pre-race visits. It's always a pleasure to hear his views of a card, but the added benefit of day-long/card flow updates is substancial.. As always, he raises the quality level of the proceedings by lending gravitas.

He's usually an 'include' for me on grass races for my pick 3's & pick 4's for that very reason!
