Default Redskins courting Brian Westbrook

In order to bolster their pile of over-the-hill and/or cripples already at the RB position, Washington invites Brian and his brother Byron to a workout tomorrow:

Byron should already be on the Redskins.. he was last year.

The Redskins are quite hilarious. They could be a superbowl contender if they figured out how to turn the clock back 5 years. The only thing that could be more perfect is if they signed T.O. Westy needs to stay far away from the Redskins and their offensive line (or lack there of). I love Westbrook and dont want to see him getting more concussions.

I could see them improving this year... to 5-11 maybe. The only weapon the team has is their coach. And Haynesworthless is a $100 million huge liability to the locker room.

I love the running back situation on that team. It's a veritable who's who of running backs who haven't been very good over the last couple of seasons because of injuries (Westbrook), ineffectiveness (Parker), disruptive attitude (Johnson), and injuries/ineffectiveness/disruptive attitude/abject narcissism (Portis). The only thing they're missing is some combination of Travis Henry (37 kids, legal troubles) and Fred Lane (killed by crazy wife).

This is a MS resurrection project .....

2 or 3 of these guys will get a chance to line up behind McNabb and hold on to their former dignity. Some will fail, some will cheat time for a season or less but right now they have absolutely nothing else to hold on to if they want to play in the NFL, while Portis has a better chance of getting Sean Taylor to rise from the dead than he does to take a single snap under MS's regime. Elephants forget, MS gets revenge....

Why, are they talking about resigning Jamarcus Russell and giving him a guaranteed 5 year contract? What did I miss?
