So the guy is boasting about his horse, big deal. I wish I had that kind of money to back up that kind of threat.

It's funny and all, and maybe it was said in gest, but it seems contrary to what you would actually want...who cares if his horse is the favorite or not? Why would you even say you would bet more money on your horse to purposely lower the price?

Frankly, it makes me nervous on the horse. It's such dramatic overhype that it seems only designed to draw more attention because it defies all other logic. For comparison's sake, it's the opposite of Kiaran McLaughlin when he has a horse ready to go...overall, the comment on its own is curious and actually has me leaning against.

I was using Uncle Mo in the win column until I saw him work today, now he won't be on a single ticket of mine.

I think that perhaps people have a tendency to ridiculously over-analyze things.

In this case, it's both with what Repole said, and with an easy 5f workout in the slop.

How unbearable are you going to be if Uncle Mo wins the Derby?

I think after all that hoopla prior to the Wood, like they couldn't lose, he feels the need to grandstand a bit.

I wish Repole would have a sweepstakes to win a trip to spend a weekend with him in Vegas...

Why no Meet The Mo fest part 2? Was a big hit a AQ.

How many times have I gloated on here?

Maybe I'll be clever like you though, and just go with whomever you pick in the race.

Back to your post however. What exactly was unbearable about me pointing out that people are making a big whoop out of something Repole said? Why would anyone even care what he said about this?

And the work. Some people here are making it sound like he broke down in the workout. Those two have many times worked on just about even terms. In my eyes, it is ridiculous to take what is already mostly irrelevant, and make it into a big deal, especially over a sloppy track.

If Mo does win, the only thing I'd probably say about that in any sort of gloating terms is something about wanting Johnny Pinwheel to live up to his promise of eating his shorts.

It's more about a horse sired by Indian Charlie winning than anything else. Of course, you're just "kidding" when you talk about him and I was mostly just busting your balls.

I don't think people are really making a big deal out of what Repole said. But what he said was kind of dumb. I thought his schtick was kind of amusing at first. Not so much now.

I kid around when I start saying stupid shid like Indiano and Indian Winter are going to run 1-2 in the Derby Trial.

I do think he's a great horse, but I've been pretty realistic with all of his progeny.

Repole? Why pay attention to any hyperbole?

It just seemed like bragging, NY style.
