SAT - Saratoga (R7-R12 PK6 C/O;PK4) & AP (R8 feature)
Another awesome Saturday of racing as the two premier summer meets have their final weekends. Both Saratoga and Del Mar have some great opportunties for big scores.
I like the filly versus the boys on Saturday. It's not Havre de Grace, it's Maristar (8-1 ML) in the G3 Washington Park Handicap at Arlington Park. I'm actually headed to South Bend to catch my first Notre Dame home game, so I'll have to check out all the replays when I return. Saratoga - PK6 $64k carryover R7 - MSW 50k (2yo 7F) #7 Little Wyatt (15-1) - Barbara no stranger to having one ready at first asking. #3 Invocation (7-2) #1 Darley Entry (6-1) #9 Africanist (5-2) R8 - G2 Personal Ensign Invitational #3 Pachattack (9-2) - Expecting her to take to dirt just fine and the distance is not a question. #4 Protesting (6-1) - Most recent win was a confidence booster. #2 Ask the Moon (2-1) - Improved dramatically with new barn, but will be tested in the final furlong here. R9 - G1 Forego #8 Regal Ransom (6-1) BEST BET - Draws well and he's been able to fire off the bench in the past. The distance should be right in his wheelhouse. #2 Sidney's Candy (4-1) - Talented runner has shown an ability to adapt to different surfaces and distances. #1 Jackson Bend (5-2) - Coming off spectacular race in his return to Zito. #4 Jersey Town (6-1) - Decent return race as Tagg puts him right into a Grade 1 for his 2nd start of the year. R10 - G1 Woodward #7 Flat Out (5-2) - In career form and looks to get a perfect stalking trip once again. #5 Convocation (20-1) - Always been a fan and with an off the pace trip he could factor at a huge price. #6 Havre de Grace (8-5) - Applaud connections for bold placing, but hard to take less then 2-1 odds. #3 Giant Oak (8-1) - He just runs his race no matter the circumstances (a la Perfect Drift). Who'll finish 4th at this year's Breeders' Cup Classic - Giant Oak or Ruler on Ice? R11 - Clm 15k B #1 Repole Entry (Ninety Five South) (3-1) #6 Gold Raptor (10-1) #8 Economic Swoon (5-1) #11 Fiery Rebel (12-1) R12 - NYB 40k #10 Saratoga Snacks (7-2) #5 Think I'm Hooked (5-1) #8 Parachute Coney (3-1) #1 Thewizardofnassau (8-1) PK6 - 1 3 7 9 / 2 3 4 / 2 6 / 7 / 1 6 / 5 10 = $192 PK4 - 1 2 8 / 5 7 / 1 6 8 11 / 1 5 8 10 = $48 for $.50 Arlington Park R8 - G3 Washington Park Handicap #1 Maristar (8-1) - More than capable of taking down the boys with a clean trip. #4 Dark Cove (3-1) - Well travelled runner should appreciate the distance and return to the poly. #5 Working for Hops (5-2) - Hard knocker seems to always bring his running shoes. #3 Color Me Blue (6-1) - Likes AP and a board finish is well within the realm. W/P #1 Ex Box - 1 / 3 4 5 Good Racing Luck

I don't know if you ever been to an N.D. game before Gus but if you haven't it is going to be one hell of a time. Enjoy!

Thanks Devil, I'm really looking forward to it and it should be interesting with my 6 year old son.

Tom, interesting was an understatement after those bizzare weather delays. Had a blast and my son held it semi-together throughout the whole ordeal. On the horse racing front, my ADW account took a hit.
