Default Heisman Finalists

I dont have any problem with the 5 guys going to NY. I guess some people could make a case for Matt Barkley, but IMO its not a strong 1.
I would rank the 5 going like this....

1. Griffin
2. Ball
3. Mathieu
4. Richardson
5. Luck

Matt Barkley threw for about 400 more yards than Andrew Luck, threw for 39 TD's and only 7 INT's while Luck threw 35 TD's with 9 INT's. Not to mention his team won 10 games and a division with essentially no incentive to because they couldn't play in any bowls or conference championship games.

I'm not saying he should win the thing, but he belongs in NY. His case is as good if not better than Luck's based on what they did on the field.

I did rank Luck 5th. I dont think he deserves the award. Out of the 5 going, who do you think wins it?

They have to give it to Robert Griffin after what he has done the last few weeks. He's playing at another level right now. I still prefer Barkley in the pros though, although I'm a sucker for USC QB's.

and he did it on a team that had scholarship restrictions. which i think despite the fact it should be a plus was a minus in most voters eyes.

if he played at any school that wasn't on probation with those stats, he'd be in ny.

Luck probably has jack sh!t for talent around him at the skill positions at Stanford...but he grew a vagina in the Oregon game and doesn't belong in the top 3.

I haven't been able to care about the Heisman since Gino Torretta won it. Danny Weurfell and Eric Crouch winning the award did nothing to return credibility to it.

I think it's unfair that record plays as a part as it does. A qb can throw for 500 yards and for scores a game but if his defense gives up 50 a week, it's often held against him.

According to these odds RG3 is a lock.

Robert Griffin III -2500 Trent Richardson +500 Andrew Luck +900 Montee Ball
+12500 Tyrann Mathieu
+20000

Experts seem to like Griffin to win, I can't argue with them.

Griffin should win I think....I hope he does. Great player....and an actual honest to goodness student athlete. I'd hope for him or Luck. Shame Kellen Moore didn't get to make the trip this year. Perhaps the greatest 4 year college quarterback ever. I guess he got to do it last year.

I heard the LSU guy interviewed on ESPN today. I hope for his sake he is a great student, but WOW, it is hard to imagine him passing English 101.

After his interview at the awards ceremony, he just seems like someone not comfortable speaking in public.

He was on Scott Van Pelts radio show earlier in the week and it was bad, a lot worst then the interview today if you can believe that.
