Can anyone give me some semblance of an idea of what Victor was just doing on Teddy's Promise?

Home Sweet Aspen is Candy Ride's 7th Grade 1 winner. It's interesting to note that 5 of those horses earned their Grade 1 status in races run at 7f. Home Sweet Aspen (Santa Monica), Capt. Candyman Can (King's Bishop), Evita Argentina (La Brea), El Brujo (Pat O'Brien), and Twirling Candy (Malibu).

Candy Ride's other 2 Grade 1 winners are Misremembered (Big Cap) and Sidney's Candy (SA Derby). Misremembered ran second in the Grade 1 7f Malibu. Sidney's Candy won the Grade 2 7f San Vicente.

Candy Ride was also the sire of the runner-up in today's Santa Monica, Sugarinthemorning. She was also second in the Grade 1 7f La Brea earlier in the meet.
