Gullo ends streak

Gary Gullo ends an incredible streak of not winning a turf race that stretched over an almost 10 year period by winning the Aqueduct 5th with Classic R and B. He went 0 for 102 on turf from July 27, 2002 until today.

It's kind of embarrassing that no one has commented on Gullo's win. Winning a turf race in New York after a nearly 10-year drought is on the order of the Cubs winning the World Series.

I wanted to beat Alan to it.

I think Gullo commented at some point during the streak that he didn't think he could lose that many turf races in a row if he was trying.
