Default Vegas

Will be there this coming Friday afternoon until Wednesday of next week. Will probably be in the sports book at the Mirage at least Saturday and Sunday or I might go over to the Venetian to check that out. Saint Patrick's day 40th wedding anniversary. Thinking of having anniversary dinner at Delmonico's in the Venetian. I hear that's pretty good.

Other than the fries Del's is a bit of a disappointment, I am a huge fan of Batali's steak place in the Pallazzo though it is called Carnevino. I know the dude steals from his servers but the meat there is so well aged it is amazing.

Thanks. You too. Love the Mirage. Took my grandkids there last year while their parents were gone to the Bahamas. You wouldn't think a 5,6 and 9 year old would like Vegas, but they did. Loved the pool at the Mirage, the Secret Garden, Shark Reef at Mandalay and the big arcade down next to the MGM Grand. This trip will be for grown-ups only though.

Prime Steakhouse at the Bellagio is the bomb... Pricey, but worth it. Plus, the have an exclusive patio with a few tables that juts out into the fountain where you can have desert. You will definitely earn double bonus points on the anniversary score

No worries, great spot for happy hour dining is the bar at Bartolotta in the Wynn shopping area, JP and Eddie are the bartenders there and will take excellent care of you, they will split up all the apps to two plates and you can get out of there pretty reasonably. I eat there at least twice a trip.

Amen to that. One of the best meals of my life was at Prime.

Zefferino's at Venetian is really good as well. It's an Italian seafood place. I've yet to eat a bad meal at Venetian, yet Postrio was not overwhelming.

I always thought the foot long dogs and yard margaritas at Circus Circus were to die for.

Might be more within my budget, but after 40 years you kind of have to do something nice or hire Jose Baez for your attorney.

You have been married longer than I have been alive, so I will take your word for it

Oh boy! My turn to be at the Mirage. I got here last night. Had a great steak and salad at Stack and then crashed in my room. (east coaster)

Woke up, got my Roasted Bean coffee in hand and ready to 'cap.

Life is good.

Hope you did well. I did good betting Oaklawn and Santa Anita on the weekend. Monday and Tuesday no Oaklawn and Santa Anita available so played Parx and Charlestown. Not so good, but managed to escape a few dollars on the plus side. Stopped at the Indian casinos in New Mexico and Oklahoma on the way back to Arkansas. That was fun too. All in all a very good trip.

Will be out there next weekend to catch my first horse (partnership but still) making her first start. We had no idea she would be running otherwise I would be traveling to Big A. Second best option is watching at the Wynn.

Lawry's is a spot I hit in vegas. Best prime rib I've ever had. Always order the bowl cut, but never put it all down.
