I would go 3,2,4,1. But if we are talking about the size of the hats, it looks like 1,4,3,2 to me, or is it 1,4,2,3? Tough to tell, would be nice to have another angle. Overall, beautiful hats, wish I saw more of them at the races.

You have to approach this question as if seeing through the eyes of a bloodstock agent.

The mare on the far left has been brought up on a good nutritional program and likely has been doing uphill gallops all of her life. Ignore the turnout job by the groom. Think BC F&M Turf and hope no hot young Euro filly enters.

The two in the middle -- precocious, unremarkable breeding. They will win early at a track like Calder. By maturity as a 3 year old the wheels will be coming off..

Without looking at the page you would think Bernardini out of a Phipps-family mare. You'll likely head to Saratoga with high hopes.

Too bad the bushes aren't in better focus. I'm wondering if they are as well manicured?

From what I can see it looks like the bushes are in need of some moisture.

This is for #2 though

People who prefer #2 probably do so because of her relative youth compared to the other three.

Her face and head shape reveal to me, at least, a pretty white trash background.
