The racing is very popular in Turkey, there is no doubt, and Beyer's comment about the jackpot bets is spot-on. Watch win pools in Turkey and they are literally a massive joke - almost no money. Pick six pools are by far the most popular, and good field sizes. Plus, they have Trakus.

If you've never seen racing from Turkey, you won't understand it, but the action translates. This is the 22-deep field for the Gazi Derby, the biggest domestic race of the year there.

This is where Beyer shines IMO. His racing knowledge and experience isn't limited to the US.
