Quote:
A $1,000,000 Grade 1 race gets just six horses ... and an N2X ALW horse is 3-to-2 on the morning line. The Jim Dandy is a 600K Grade 2 that got just a field of 8 (thanks to the Curlin) and the ML favorite is a horse who was last seen getting spanked in the Kentucky Derby. He's never won anything more than a soft Grade 3. The West Va Derby, The Curlin, the injuries, and the time between starts have all hurt these races. Secretariat, Alydar, Java Gold, Easy Goer etc all skipped the Jim Dandy to run against older horses in the Whitney. That will never happen again. |

It will be interesting to see how aggressive Castallano is on Gemologist as he has quite of bit of speed himself, maybe he hooks Paynter at the 1/2 to the 3/8ths and then possibly sets it up for the horse I am liking betting Nonios.

I just watched it again, he must have been pulled up in the stretch, cause I didn't see him finish. Double ugh......
I hope he's alright.

It has to be the owners with Dullahan right? Romans knows better than this.

And with each passing race we realize how much better Bodemeister and I'll Have Another are compared to their fellow 3yos.

Agree, but Paynter is still very lightly raced. Lots of upside still.

He ran well today, no two ways about it. But Gemologist was a total no-show. We'll see.
