Default Glory Days for bandits in Erie

I arrive home from the casino with my girlfriend at 2AM.

She wants to take a walk with my dog, Arnie.

We are on West 29th street (AKA DrugS jogging route) walking towards the soccer field and grade school. At 2AM on this street, you're more likely to see a skunk than a human.

As we are walking, we make out two people walking towards us in the darkness.

At first glance, I assumed it was a male and a female because of the big height difference and body types.

All of a sudden, the bigger person grabs the much smaller person by the shoulders and says something with seriousness.

I tell my girlfriend "I think these two are fighting -- if not they're going to make out in the middle of the street"

Suddenly, they veer off of the street and on to the sidewalk furthest from us on West 29th.

As they approach and pass, I'm surprised to see it is a tall dark skinned person with a backpack and a young, diminutive, white boy. Looked maybe 8-to-12 years old.

I look away and tell my girlfriend "that boy is probably about to get Sandusky'd. I mean, that is Grade A creepy."

After they pass, she is looking back at them and she says they keep looking back at her.

She said she didn't think it was a grown man with the young boy -- just a real tall teenager who might only be just 5 or 6 years older.

We continue along with our walk. My dog sh!ts twice and pisses on everything that isn't flat.

By the time we eventually turn around and get back to our street -- we notice kids fleeing from her SUV.

To make a long story shorter, her SUV is broken into and she is robbed of her smart phone and I-Pod. Of the three who flee, two are on foot and one on bicycle. The two on foot appear to be the two we walked past on West 29th just 10 minutes or so earlier.

These young heros of the night spared me from having to listen to anymore Wilson Phillips, Nicky Minaj, or from getting anymore 4AM text messages about how crazy her patients are in the Nuthouse (literally) she works at.

Amazingly, they did not take her Coach handbag/mini purse (my mother has a pathetic obsesssion with Coach and gave it to her) which contained credit cards, ID, and cash. They also did not take an expensive GPS thingy.

When it gets dark, the skunks no longer rule these streets with an iron fist. The days of clover for the little punks are here at last.

Since I'm often up at all hours and sleep an insane schedule -- I may just borrow my little brothers paintball gun and go hunting at night.

I am praying (despite being an atheist) that I find the guy(s) that broke into my car and stole my PC bag I travel with.
They too managed to ignore my wife's LV purse loaded with goodies. Got a PC they cant use and a bag full of toiletries and cool headphones.
Wish they had avoided shattering the window of a three day old car though.

Blah, blah, blah. Just tell us how you did at the casino.
