Too bad it has come to this....one of my favs to win this race was Fran’s Valentine. I think she won the Kentucky Oaks that year-1985.

Wow I got old quickly
I remember when Pacific Squall won this as a spring board to the Alabama and Eliza lost at 1-10........I think its just a much a indication of California economic and political climate as its racing.
