That was my logic when considering the field. I think Tres Borrachos will get out on the lead, and nobody (other than big brown, and another horse) will catch him and possibly he can hold on for third. i don't know though

Tres Borrachos isn't fast enough to run with Big Brown, and I actually think Riley Tucker and Giant Moon are faster. His AR Derby figure is inflated too.. I'd be surprised if he did anything.

TB gets to lead for a half or so if Kent/Brown let him go.
Gayego is adding blinks, if they really pushed him he could take over by the half, but i don't see a reason for that.

Since his maiden win he's 5-3-1-0 with just the mediocre effort in the Lecomte. Do I think he's going to beat Big Brown? No. But could he fill the exacta or trifecta at 30-1? Definitely.
I like Macho Again too for the exact reasons you gave. I see him and Kentucky Bear as the two strongest contenders (other than the 7 obviously).
I just can't figure out exactly how I want to play it.

We nailed that one. I think Ky Bear would have been 2nd-4th if he didn't have traffic troubles...

I guess the way to play it was just the good old fashioned across the board bet. I keyed him underneath BB in tri's and supers and probably didn't get the return I would have from a simple WPS.
