haha, no pictures of Reagan. but he was a great president.

for the social issues, I'm sure you're referring to Palin, but where did you get your info? she has not pushed to have creationism taught in schools.

You're right, he's a secret Muslim member of the Weather Underground who's running for president only to make the country his personal ultra-liberal petri dish. Oh and he wants to exterminate white people. How could I have been so blind.

they're throwing everything against the wall to see what will stick. there is nothing to suggest she's a nut.

from factcheck

"Palin has not pushed for teaching creationism in Alaska's schools. She has said that students should be allowed to "debate both sides" of the evolution question, but she also said creationism "doesn't have to be part of the curriculum."

Blogs and CNN are not exactly neutral sources

As for palin, what are the chances that McCain croaks? And even if he does how exactly can a Republican President (especially one not elected) get ultra right wing programs past a democratic congress? A VP basically goes into hiding the day after the election and anyone who thinks that McCain is going to allow Palin to be his Cheney obviously doesnt understand McCain. The whole one heart beat thing is so overblown.

debate this in a Science classroom.
No one has ever prohibited this debate in public schools, ever.
You just don't debate it in a Science classroom for terribly obvious reasons.

How many frikkn times does the Supreme Court have to take this up again...

Right-wing programs aside, I just think she's not very smart, and would have no idea what the hell to do, hence her platform pretty much being her as a 'hockey mom'.. Hockey mom, leader of the free world.. Same thing I guess.

Obama may lack 'executive experience', but at least he's obviously a bright guy and has laid out plans for when he takes office.

you might want to occaisonally take issues a little more seriously.

20 years ago, anyone with those connections would have been laughed off the stage, early on in the primary and had no chance at a major party nomination.

that's something i come back to btw. the dem congress vs a rep president. but then i see palin..and like i said before, certainly mccain isn't necessarily going to gasp his last while in office.
so, i'm still undecided--had he not chosen palin i probably wouldn't be, i admit that. i just think mccain is more centered than obama, and that appeals to me.
as you say, the vp doesn't matter usually.
and many of these issues we keep bringing up, the president actually has nothing to do with. it's the school boards who decide curriculum. yeah, palin is right wing, but she can't legislate we all learn creationism in science class. as for the supreme court, i don't see a republican getting an ultra right judge in there, he/she won't get approved by congress.
it didn't seem to work well for us with a rep president and a rep congress. would dems in charge of both work any better? i always thought one of each worked better.

still time tho to decide.

to me too, i'm an atheist! but to me its not anywhere near the most important aspect of what makes a good leader.

does Obamas church teach something other than creationism? or any other candidate past or present. how many come out and say I don't believe in creationism?

Does it matter that his "plans" rarely come with details or have a prayer of working? Democrat gods mr and mrs Clinton had a plan for healthcare when they were elected back when you were in 2nd grade and we are still waiting on the details of that. They are smart too.
