LOL..He is not riding enough because of what? What do ya call it when somebody thinks they are too good to ride "ordinary" races? Chris McCarron syndrome? That's the difference between him and say Prado,or Valenzuela(these 2 will ride more of the cheap races .)

Yeah but come on, Scuds. This is Santa Anita, arguably the premier meet of the year in SoCal...they've had a ridiculous amount of maiden claimers this year. You won't see nearly that many at Belmont and Saratoga.

Do they not run those damn NY BRED races 2 or 3 times a day? Damn goat betting.

I don't care how much they give the winners. Those horses are about as consistent as Arkie breds.I would rather trash dig the maiden open claimers than have anything to do with the NY Bred races.

That's pretty much a given considering the purses of the NY state breds is at least two times more than bottom level claimers in SoCal.

If you want to see something funny, then watch the ride Corey gave in the stretch during the race(9th race) before last Saturday's Santa Anita Handicap. He has basically decided to make sure he gets through the race, and makes it in one piece (so he can get his 60k check in the next race.)

Trust me,Corey only wants to ride if he has a 50-50 chance of winning. Most of those NY bred races are by definition "pretty open." He would love some of those stakes though(where a chalk keeps beating the same horses.) He was going back there last Spring(I THINK.) Somebody must have reminded him that you can't play golf year round in New York.
