And she's got a 10 race foundation under her, unlike many colts rushing at the Derby. Not the craziest notion to swing for the fences... He nominated her for the TC last year for a reason.
do you actually think this filly would have a shot in the derby ?

also... im not a huge fan of Rags to Riches but i am a huge fan of Magnificience and i have no doubt in my mind that she would beat high heels by open lenghts around 2 turns, regardless of the experience and the 10 race foundation

It is a Genuine Risk to run her, and they shouldn't Regret doing so because when they hit the wire, she may be carrying the Winning Colors.

Can't fault anybody that wants to go for it. As KG says, there are worse colts than her going to the gate.

Dude, what has Magnificience done around two turns?! Do you have a crystal ball to predict that she'll do so convincingly? You have no rhyme or reason to your bold proclamations and it's hilarious!

Actually High Heels is faster at this point than RTR and Magnificence is said to be sold and remain in California and skip the Oaks and try for G 1 black type out there.

I see no problem with them taking her. Like Packer said earlier, if it's possibly a shot to get into the Derby, why not take it?

She certainly won't have the least impressive resume in the field should she go.

And it's not like with all this talk of a "dream setup" last time out, that she wouldn't be likely to get the very same setup in the Derby, albeit with more traffic.

I would take the more experienced filly with more experience around two turns in the Kentucky Derby. The Derby isn't always won by the fastest and most talented of the 20 entered. It can be a real crapshoot depending upon trip and post position.

Quote of the day.

I'd take High Heels in a second. And we'd probably get good odds on that race too given the eleventy billion dollars he would "bet" to win on the Cali girl.

Speed figures are just educated opinions, not facts.

Please forward this to Red Dog and hope he interprets it correctly.
