For me it is either CQ or Street Sense.
If I have to go with just one........I'll say.......CQ. |

My heart says Circular Quay, but if you put a gun to my head, I've got to say
Street Sense |

Curlin, bad name for a Derby winner, but oh well.

Tiago-only one who made me say "wow" in a prep race and I've always done well betting the Pleasant Colony line at CD. One of my favorite bloodlines.
Will also be cheering on Nobiz and Bwana Bull with their Halo bloodlines! Deb |

I'm jumping on the Hard Spun bandwagon, due to his sparkling work this week.

Wow, all this love for Hard Spun is very much killing me. I really like him but I get pause from the overwhelming support. And you can kiss 15-1 goodbye with this kind of support.

I've really taken a liking to Hard Spun as the week goes on.
But no changing my thought on who my one derby horse is -- Street Sense. After finally closing my jaw last November I knew he was it, and nothing has happened to change that assessment. |

i hate the post, I still like Any Given Saturday...
and besides, 10 (Giacamo) + 8 (Barbaro) = 18 (ANY GIVEN SATURDAY)... |

Hard Spun or Street Sense.....maybe a gate to wire photo....who the hell knows....is it me, or does this Derby seem much more wide open then those of recent history.....over the past several years, there was always 2 or 3 horses that the "experts" could kinda come up with either a feel good story or the makings of a rivalry...this year they could pick about 10 horses. it's crazy...

Any Given Saturday - GG will have him in the back and he will just be in an all at drive to win at the wire by a length of Liquidity

i'll go with the other asmussen. sure he'll need to run the a better race than his last but seems to have improved from 2 to 3. i'll throw out the fade on poly last race and just note he was a head behind the 4-1 2nd choice here.
this is an average group. they have all run relativly slow. if curlin doesn't dominate i think it's more wide open that the top 5-6 everyone is talking about. zanjero. |

Hard Spun just because I like him.

Street Sense. Sometimes it just makes sense (no pun intended) to pick the best horse. He's the real deal. It might just be me, but a lot of people seem to be almost apologetically picking other horses. To make a poker analogy, I'd rather play with the better hand and SS is it.
