I said I liked Cowtown Cat, he ran last.

Anyone can say a horse won't win, those kind of jokers are a dime a dozen.

While i had very nice bets on SS i have to say hard spun impressed me more. Ss got the rail trip of his dreams and hard spun set a very honest pace. While others were quitting behind him, he kept right on going. I thought he would run a nice race, but nothing like that.

The funny part is first you said Circular Quay, then it was Scat Daddy, then finally Cowtown Cat. Did you even consider any non-Pletcher runners?

I have dogged Street Sense for weeks now and man I was wrong.

Just couldn't admit to myself that he was coming in the best.

Serve me up a helping for saying Street Sense couldn't win and saying that the Tampa race would knock him out. He's a really good horse and I won't doubt him again.

I actually just saw those hateful posts Hooves.

You sound like you were drinking when you made some of those posts Hooves now that I look at it.

Hey do me a favor Matt, be consistent. Don't be a nice guy in person and during the chat the other night and then a complete dick the rest of the time. Choose what you want....I started my OWN thread saying I was wrong. Don't know what else you want me to do. I actually take stands on horses and put them out there for public consumption. I don't sit on the sidelines and then criticize others for taking a stand. That's cowardly...I was wrong, apparently you have missed the many times on this board I was right....I feel sorry for you to have that kind of anger in you.

Sedgefield also ran huge. Also how good was Curlin? Not bad for his fourth start.

Street Sense was the most obvious winner to me, but since this is the CROW thread i should mention that in my quest for big odds I was trying to get Domincan into the trifecta, sadly he didn't get there. No thanks to Great Hunter who leaned on him almost the entire race, and cut him off entering the turn. If that didn't happen he might have had a shot at third.

Also, what about Imawildandcrazyguy. Anyone see where he came from?
Holy smokes, it looks like he passed 17 horses in the stretch.
Not that I disagree but isnt all the complaining about leaning on, bumping, and getting cut off, just a product of not having enough horse to avoid these problems. SS is always credited with a perfect trip. The hole was there for any horse that could take it and Calvin had enough horse to take it. If this horse wins because of luck, he sure does show a lot of tallent to go along with it. Maybe if some of the other colts had more talent there luck would change

I really have no idea what you are talking about?

I liked Cowtown Cat and was dogged for it, he lost big deal, it happens. I was wrong, so what. Rupert liked him as well, I respect his opinion more than alot of people on here. Didn't High Limit run last in the Derby 2 years ago and come back to win some races?

I was wrong, it happens, big deal.

I thought the biggest thing Cowtown had goin for him, was are we really sure going into yesterday that he'd run his best race yet?

The question is now, will Pletcher try the turf with him, try him at sprinting again, or keep him routing to try and put Winstar under the delusion that paying 1.5 mil for him was worth it lol?

I'm not sure lost does the performance justice.

I wouldn't sweat it. Hooves and 'Wind are knowledgeable handicappers as many here are. However, neither is a likely graduate of any internet charm school.

Just because you didn't like the horse to win doesn't really mean much; hell it's a horse race. If SS wins the Preakness and goes 2/5 in the Belmont, I might bet against him but that doesn't mean I wouldn't appreciate or enjoy seeing a TC winner.

You don't lose your 'privileges' to appreciate a horse because you didn't think it would win a race. That's silly, at least for races at this level. And frankly anyone who criticizes another for not betting the favorite in the Derby has got another thing coming.

Personally, I needed Sedgefield to hang on for 3rd to catch the tri. That doesn't mean I can't appreciate Curlin's and Imawild's efforts.

You're just upset that I beat you out for valedictorian at internet wiseass school. OK, I cheated on the final.....but I did it in the spirit of the institution.

I finished third in a class of two, I think. I cheated too.

Save him for the Aqueduct inner track meet. Lots of good money to be made against lesser competition for proven 'square-dot'-loving critters.

Never. NEVER!

And of course that was not charm school, but Reform School as you very well know.
