You actually play races because they are going to be on TV? So if it wasn't on TV, you wouldn't be playing? Wow.

I love having people like you putting money into the pari-mutuel pool....

All are young horses with some talent.

Most are still learning how to run. I will try to narrow it down to the one that wants to rate and win.

I see no reason to rip a guy because he wants to put a couple bucks on a TV race just for a little action. Some people actually enjoy a beer or two while playing the races too, and can also beat the public every now and then.

I only recently obtained high speed internet, but don't have a dish and no HRTV or TVG. So, I,too, like it when a big race is on television, and will bet the race, even it's just $2 for the action play. I also talk up the race to friends who are casual bettors(once a year Derby types, weekend gamblers on football games, etc.) as these people have little interest in betting on obscure races that are not on tv. It's also fun to watch these races with friends, as mainly this is a solitary hobby

Absolutely nothing wrong with a $2 action play because the race is on TV.

I don't believe PG/jcs was talking about an "action" play. He can correct me if I am wrong.

2 Hot...you mistook what I was saying. I was referring to Polonius leading them all the way around in his debut. Hockey was thinking that he stalked in that race...I was just pointing out he didnt.

Signature Move is a decent horse that tends to be a little rank. With him and Black Jack in the race,it should get Bravo a top 2.I am not gunna lie.I have no confidence in Solis getting the horse out of trouble. He seems addicted to riding that rail behind horses, and waiting for the perfect trip(getting to the outside at the top of the stretch.)He needs the field to be a little stretched out for that.A slow pace could result in a close 3rd.Salute the Sarg was ready the other day.I fully expect the same connections to be ready with Signature Move. With Black Jack not running,I think Signature would of had a big shot in this race.Fact is he is a little rank, and wants to get the lead mid-race (like he did in Louisiana.)I think Black Jack will back out (after making others run quick in the middle,) and it should come down to a knifefight between Bravo and others (for the win.)Bravo has never had a nice pace to chase.Give it to him,and you'll be very surprised what he has to show you.

I have a short attention span and read to first line and jump to the last. It's easy for me to misunderstand.

Only a true redneck would say "He lead them all the way around" instead of "He LED them all the way around."

I just noticed that Coast Guard replaced Gyrder with Joe Tala-blows ( everybodys super star last year) and Polonious dropped Jon Court for Victor Espinoza.

When Derby fever sets in you find out who your friends really are.

I see no reason Bob Black Jack cant wire this group. Nobody is in his league in the early speed dept and he knows no other way of running. This horse is a lot better than most give credit. I like his chances in here today and will stand against both favorites (Col John & Malo).

The honest pace could hurt actually hurt El Gato Malo. Sometimes a horse with big distance limitations can get 9 furlongs with a slow pace, but when they have to cruise a little faster, they feel the distance. The public will tend to say that a pace would be to his advantage because of his running style. Small edge, and a dangerous one to back.

The Turf miler Yankee Bravo is kind of lukewarm here.

Polonious is interesting. He may have to rate just off the lead today. Seems to have a chance, and is the best of the pace.

Colonel John is the class here, but even he isn't untouchable. Still has to be the most likely winner. For the sake of the crop John needs to win with a strong effort. Polonious is a turf horse and El Gato shouldn't go more than 7furlongs on the dirt. John is the only thing still worth sending to the Derby.

Meetingwithdestiny could possibly plod into something minor.

I dont see how one can separate Col. John and El Gato right now, especially based on their last race. What indicates at this point that Col. John is superior to El Gato Malo?
