Horse I'd say you'll have to watch out for is the 4, not the 3.

Not in DT yet (hope to be someday), but think I can clear out Thurs to go over and meet up with anyone going.
I don't have the PPs right in front of me, but I looked at that race with specific regard to the ML when it drew on Saturday. Doesn't the horse usually take a decent bit of money, and still look logical on paper, all things considered?

I would be surprised if anyone got better than 4-1, maybe 9-2, and I assume most of the off odds will be slightly higher than the ML, as I find it hard to believe the Calabrese actually goes off at 9-5.

I was thinking along the same lines. I don't have the PP's in front of me yet either, just going from memory. Fav goes off about 3-1 was my first thought and if my memory's right (which it is 99% of the time), I think that the 4 is the horse to beat, not the FCC one. That #1 horse always takes some $$ (think part due to the low ML). I never liked that horse when first came here from CA and it's proved me right almost everytime it ran, overrated.
If the 'toga bunch bets on KNS, she may even be the post time fav.

See you Thurs!

John

Oh don't worry, they'll give me pills. I'll be out there cuz I'll want to get some work done before the race anyway.

It'll just mean no beer for me if I'm in pain and eating pills.

Or on that note, maybe all the better reason to have a beer

I'll be out one way or another though.

I actually think the #5 (Hayley Go Blue) might be a good value play here. She hasn't done much in recent starts, but 8f on the poly is where she has done her best work in the past. She might be one to include in exotics (underneath KNS obviously).

The #1 could be tough, and might wire the field as she did in a similarly paceless race last year at AP. Unfortunately for KNS, there isn't much speed at all, and the #1 might just get loose on a soft pace.
