I just watched part 1 and maybe I'm in the minority but I don't think it needs arrows, highlights, etc. Either way. The people who are watching this know where to look..... like I said though either way.

You looked suave. Good interaction, very natural, open and honest hand gestures. Sorry for being the visual type but if I'm distracted by something I find annoying, I'll tune out.

Well done, Mr. Serling. You have the official seal of approval from the pretty horsie squad.

Your dream come true, I'm sure...

Brilliant. So we should watch the show, memorize (or hire a personal stenographer) the transcript, then find or pay for replays of the same, RANDOM, races, and watch them all over again at a later time? Just so they don't have to go to the trouble to add in a John Maddenesque graphic scrawl? Sounds efficient and productive...

...like taking a dump at a public restroom, then waiting to wipe one's azz til they get home where there's better toilet paper...

Of course, I guess we can cut out the down time somewhat if we got our trusty trikes fired up...

Good idea.

So when the TV guy tells you to follow the number 1 horse, your instinct isn't to watch the horse that breaks from the rail, but rather whatever random post it drew(cuz number 1 was part of a coupling)? If you have those powers of foresight, you shouldn't even need to watch the finish.

Simply put, it needs highlights. Or a simple rundown of the field prior to the actual replay (which might be better because it could give the conditions of the race as well).

No dear one, I'm not saying I have these powers of foresight of which you speak. What I meant was that horseplayers in general are not idiots..... if someone is talking about a race none of us need dumbing down. I appreciated the simplicity of just showing the race(s).

Arrows / highlights are fine, they work. My point is only that it works either way. Just my opinion... you can tell me to stick it wherever you see fit.

GPK Sir? Damned right he looked suave.

You know, and I'm sure others here do too, that I was the one to nail Andy to a cross and rip him to shreds when I thought he wasn't visually as natural, well-dressed, well-spoken, etc as he is here.

Andy looked mahvalas. Deal with it.

Default Thanks for a Great Weekend

Thanks Andy S. for a great weekend of selections at Belmont Friday-Sunday. Looks like you had about a 80% hit ratio including some nice top selection prices (Billy Turner's horse on Saturday in the turf sprint at 10-1, etc.)

I suspect you are glad to be back at Belmont......

The second installment of Trips & Traps has been posted. The first segment was just put up and the second should be following shortly.

Stopping the video and circling the focus horse works great! Thanks for the changes, very easy to follow now, I can pay close attention to what you guys are saying, as opposed to trying to figure out where the focus horse is.
Well done.

All that's left is to make some $$ when these horses return to the track.

You guys did a good job slowing the show and the races down, which helps us non-pace experts.

I thought I would shamelessly bring this thread back up. Not sure if people are still watching but I'm pretty happy with how things have gone and would still like to hear any thoughts and suggestions.

I suggest taking a look at the last race of Yodelady O. (OSA-10-12-08_R6).

How much does she win by IF:

the doofus jock is able to get the whip out, BUST her lefty, and keep her from going between horses and from lugging in the length of the stretch?

Not surprisingly, Quinonez gets up again on her tomorrow.

On a more related note: I've been watching the show and think it's progressing nicely. Good job.

Thanks.

I'll take a look at that replay when I get a chance.
