Personally I have enjoyed the Portland/Houston series more.
Primarily because the teams are better.

I would have posted it no matter who was in the picture..a grown man in a $5,000 suit screaming at a guy on a court looks ridiculous. Gordon grabbing his crotch was bush just like Rondo carving up Miller was a flagrant, I thought..but that's on the floor...Garnett's not playing...he should shut up. Let Tony Allen, or whatever his name is come across the court to get in Gordon's face like he did.

Fair enough. I've just had to hear never-ending bitching from Bulls fans the past two days about that. If it were Derrick Rose or somebody mild-mannered he was yelling at, I'd be with you, I just feel like Gordon's been egging the Celtics on all series. But whatever, that's all peripheral and there's another great game going on.

Russell would play today, as would Oscar.
But some of the other guys...

Jerry Flippn West barely ever used his left hand on the dribble.
Go back and watch that old stuff. Some of it was quite
pitiful. Jerry could shoot the heck out of the ball though.
Oh PLEASE......

Yes watch those old games where the ball never hits the ground from end to end leading to a layup. When defense actually meant running end to end rather than the walk and isolated two on two BS the NBA has become.

NEWS FLASH........

Less teams in a sport means deeper teams and better talent per man. Integration????........Please pick another subject to make your argument.

Russell, Elgin Baylor, Oscar Robinson, Wilt and many more were damn good two way players in most cases who were every bit the players these kids are today. The NBA has seen much better times than now....we can debate whether the SHowtime Lakers or Bird's Celtics or Issah's Piston's were better than both of these teams but this product on the floor now is well below the games of the 60's and early 70's of the NBA that saw Cousy, Sam and KC. Team play of this NBA in 2009 has never been close to those teams. Seeing it live is not the same as watching the talkies.......those old men could play.

Gordon does have that Wally Haskell thing going...and he said over and over that it wasn't about the , then turned down many contracts and signed the tender.

When the Bulls get up 10 in the 4th, the Celtics will have them right where they want them. I don't think it goes back to Boston.

The rules are also completely diff.
Teams must shoot the ball within 23 seconds.
What is the most efficient way to do that?
Russell could just stand in the lane all he wanted on D.
It is absolutely ridiculous to compare the Defense or offense
when the rules are entirely different.

Seriously. The skill level is not even close to the same.
Now if you go Bird/Magic era, heck yes, but not the late
50's early 60's... there is just no way, its not close to the
same game, Athletically or skill level.

I humbly ask permission to change my mind...

These games have been incredibly competitive
no matter the level.

Doc could screw up a free blowjob from a Victoria's Secret model on his birthday.

Big Baby is part of a lineup that turns a 12-point deficit into an 8-point lead in about six minutes, so what does he do? TAKE HIM OUT AND PUT IN TONY ALLEN, who doesn't know his ass from his elbow on offense. Unfathomable incompetence. It's like he got a call from the league saying 'we need this thing to go 7'.

If they lose this game, and eventually the series, Doc should be freaking thrown off a roof (a low one).

Salmons is driving at will to the hole.
Garnett gone has allowed the Bulls
way too many easy shots provided they
get penetration.
It really is going both ways. If you
get to the basket, no problem fearing
a block.

You really never heard of KC or Sam Jones, Satch Sanders to name a few. All legit Hall of Fame players. All black by the way.....where is Chuck when I need him

A few truths before the 3rd OT......

The shot clock came into the league for the 1954-55 season...

Russell and KC Jones were winning NCAA national championships in 54 and 55

Russell had a shot clock his whole career in 1956 on.......the Celts were actually the leaders of the black player roster breakthrough....the city was and still is the most racist northern city in america which is what I remeber growing up there then

Of course I have.
Just look at the teams content.
There is no way anyone can say the best athletes
were out there. There may have been one of
those old championship Celtic teams, maybe with 5 black guys and
9 white guys. That was about it.

The team I posted... Bill Russell, thats it.
The only black.

And if Cannon agrees that the skill level and
athleticism is the same... He wont. Some were still
shooting two handed set shots with hands on opposite poles
of the ball. It was legitmately awful stuff compared to today.

Really it is terribly difficult to compare though,
because the rules are so different.

Great game tonight though.
Maybe I should say crazy game.
