Colt may have been a better option at this point. Maybe Tommy Chang is available?

i'm wishing that we could have gotten jay cutler, even tho i don't particularly care for the guy. but if he can play....jason campbell just isn't cutting it, altho i don't think he's the only issue. i remember all the talk about how well jason took being almost replaced-gimme a break, you gotta do what you think is best. if a better qb is available, you try to trade up. he's got the chance to show that they were right to keep him...but so far he hasn't been that good. who can blame the team for trying to get better.

maybe we'll get locker in next years draft.

Ut-oh...Haynesworth carted off with leg injury and the Lions are controlling the game. Skins-land not the place you would want to be right about now.

i haven't been so embarrassed by my team since they went 4 &12 under jack pardee. that was a looong time ago. jim zorns last game? i know a lot of people picked the lions to finally win their first game, but dammit i sure don't want to be the one to have the dubious distinction of being the answer in a future trivia question.

I was driving back from Tallahassee this morning and heard Mort declare that Zorn could be gone if they lose to the Lions.

No real news, but some confirmation of your thoughts.

It could be worse, you could be a Bucs fan. The Giants are destroying the Bucs. The current score does not represent the magnitude of the on the field thrashing.

i can't watch the skins game. looked up the stats....94 yards total, all from the air with the complete absence of a running game. i cannot believe we're down 13-0 at the half.

and yeah, i'm not surprised that zorn is in the hot seat at all. i've been thinking about some of the good coaches currently not working-and there are plenty who could do a better job than zorn.
cowher immediately leaps to mind, altho i don't know that he'd want to go to d.c. mike shanahan is another.
i can't imagine a guy like snyder, with his ego, will be happy if we lose today. i know i won't be-but unlike me, snyder is in a position to do something about the situation.

Off the top of my head, Super Bowl winning Coaches out of work:

Holmgren
Gruden
Billick
Cowher
Shanahan

Holmgren hasn't said much, but he may want to coach again. Cowher is being coy, but "they" say he is ready to come back. Billick, Gruden and Shanahan haven't hidden their desire to coach.

I'm sure Danny Boy will open his substantial checkbook and land one of the above.

They should keep Zorn and try to get a top 5 pick this year. the only problem is that there will be a lot of competition for the top picks. Cleveland and KC are horrific, The raiders are awful, the Lions cant win more than 3 or 4 at best, St Louis stinks, Tampa sucks, Carolina isnt very good though they will probably get around 5 or 6 wins.

I just watched the game on Tivo. I can't believe how bad the Bucs are. Why do they continue to start Leftwich? He was like 7-16 22 yards and a pick (they did drop a ton of passes). The kid Johnson they put in seemed to have some quickness and a rocket arm, I'm guessing he will eventually be the starter. But it's going to be a long process (cause they are more than a season away) in Tampa.

As far as the Skins go, is this really a suprise? They haven't addressed a punchless offense in seasons. While Haynesworth will probably help the defense, the offense continues to sputter and is in dire need of an overhaul. Zorn is definitely on borrowed time, but I'm guessing it's going to be a couple of weeks before they ax him. Then again with Snyder being the owner, there's a chance they left him in Detroit.

every experiment this ******* has had for coaches has failed miserably. the lions are no longer the laughing stock of the nfl, the skins are, and now danny boy can see it clear as day.
zorn's gotta be out, gotta be. doubtful they get someone off the street to replace him either, i can see blache being the interim coach and danny boy yet again going out and getting another "name" in the off season. i mean lets face the facts, zorn was NEVER in line for the head coaching spot in the first place. Him and blache came into run the offense and defense, but when daniel son couldn't find a coach after interviewing 10+ (tons of big names interviewed for this spot, pete carroll, greg williams, jim fassell, jim mora, etc.) for the position he just promoted zorn. When they jerked williams off the way they did, it was pretty much the last straw for me, the guy stayed b/c the franchise had him next in line behind gibbs, thats the only reason why he stayed (he had other offers that im sure of). And sure as sh!t when gibbs steps down, that word isn't worth sh!t.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=090...o&confirm=true

having him and vinny cerrato in the front office could be the worst combo in the history of the nfl, vinny brings them in, daniel pays them, they do nothing for the team, they leave with a pocket full of cash, its been a pretty solid cycle since danny got here.

never thought i would say this, but i'm embarrassed to call myself a skins fan now a days, snyder has ruined this franchise

sorry for the vent

I have a hard time believing Campbell is a starting QB in the NFL. He's horrible.

I don't think he's played bad this season. Today he's been horrible, not that have blocked anybody either and given him time to throw! But the play calling by Zorn is a joke! They still are having problems getting off the field on third down as well, they are very luck not to be down worse than 10-0!

I think Josh Johnson is worse. This game is an abomination.
