Generally, we meet at the saddling ring/paddock several races before our races. I'll be there... tall guy with the Derby Trail cap.

Aldeb is ready to go and Kickin was in attack mode this morning so it appears she is also ready. Hopefully the races go off as scheduled.

Hopefully, they both LOVE the soft (or yielding) turf.

Anyone know what time that will be determined and what is the fastest way to find out?

It certainly is a small world. I've been a lurker on the RTTD website for several years and I've enjoyed the insight and profited from some of the information, and for that I am grateful. I am also a regular user of the DRF stable mail. Several years ago I was a beer vendor at Arlington Park. On a Sunday afternoon I was working the picnic area and two ladies were having a wonderful time. We got to talking a bit and they owned a horse and he was entered today. They thought that he had a good shot and were eager for the race. Being an Arlington employee I could not bet during the day, although I regularly early birded several bets every day and watched as the races went off. Their horse ran a competitive race and finished second. He was also claimed by Frank Calabrese who Chicago area bettors know is the premier claiming owner in the area. I figured that if Frank saw something the horse should be added to my stable. The horse has had some modest success even though he was claimed from Calabrese a long time ago. I recently got the e-mail about the Kentucky Downs entry and when I was checking on the morning line I was surprised to see KNS in the same race. I guess now I have an exacta box to play tomorrow. Sorry if I bored you with the long post but I sincerely wish you the best of luck tomorrow.

Thumbs up Kentucky Downs on Capital OTB network

For who live in the area that Capital OTB broadcasts thier network signal, you'll most likely will be able to see the races "live" or on a short delay. Monday is usually a slow simulcast day for them with the limited thoroughbred track running.

Mark,

Perhaps, but not according to their website... KD is not listed for today's coverage.

Of the two national networks, TVG is has Kentucky Downs.

Had planned to travel to the Downs today but the end of the Govt fiscal year has been insanely busier than past years. Safe travels to our two girls and all heading to Franklin today.

Best of luck to the DT girls and their entourage. Was hoping that Steve would be able to indulge us during the show and play these races on air - unless they don't run on time it looks like they are right at the breaks.

Hope everyone has a great time, I'll be watching and wagering on TwinSpires. I like the Pitts horse in Aldebutante's race - imagine the juicy payoff if I could get the 3/10 exacta!!

EDIT: I will have to really imagine it - just looked and the 1, 3, 4, 6 and 11 have scratched out
