I'm sure Hasan in Texas will suitably fry in the electric chair of the most aggressive death-penalty state of the union. Whoops, no, he'll be tried in military court. Firing squad? What does our military use?

I am reminded of the brilliant mathematician John Nash, the paranoid schizophrenic made generally famous by the movie, "A Beautiful Mind". His fear of government plot, top-secret activity, and Russian threat; his imagining he was working for the CIA, etc. If Nash was experiencing that today, instead of his converting his office and a garage into a demonstration of his paranoid schizophenrenia (his cutouts, charts, etc) - he'd have an internet webpage and a few thousands "followers".

Giving the bastard Hasan the chair would be too good for him. Let one the relatives of the innocent victims that he killed shot him to death.

I'll just stick the the off the wall argument that it's just wrong to do and that's why we shouldn't do it

I knew I could count on you!

Truthfully in this particular case I'm on your side but for the reason death would be a lesser punishment than facing life as a paraplegic with lets just say less than perfect care.

Ha.

That's one issue where for me there is no black and white, no ifs or maybes - no condition under which I think it's okay.

lol

I'm the complete opposite. I'm barbaric and feel that rapist and child molesters should be executed (in almost all circumstances). That mormon guy who just got convicted of child rape should be hanged. Also anyone convicted of 1st degree murder should be executed. And it should happen fairly quickly.

Methinks if that was the way of the law there would be much less violent crime.

I agree with you %1000 on this. Why should us taxpayers support thugs like that who have no regard for thier fellow human beings.

The "embarassed to be an American" part makes me shake my head. You're embarassed by this country, yeah, go elsewhere.

Quote for us the section in any of the healthcare reform bills from the House or in the Senate where there exists, "the threat of jail for not buying into the government health plan and not carrying health insurance"?

LOL - believe me, that's not what causes an association between you and embarassment on this website.

Yes, I'm aware - but what are the ways the military can put someone to death?

Lethal Injection. 8 on death row at Leavenworth last execution in the early 1960's. This guy will have plenty of time to sit in his stool

I can kill things gently and painlessly by lethal injection easily and cheaply. I'm amazed humans can't seem to manage it.

Frankly, I think Hasan deserves the firing squad. You get what you give.
