Two horses exiting the same race at Calder made up about a $800 exacta.

It looked pretty scary on the second turn.I saw 3 horses heading for the outside wall, one without a jockey.

Not that I was getting to the winner, and I really barely looked, but how the hell was Bug Juice the 2:1 favorite?

I don't know. I would have guessed Sweet Ducky would have been the favorite off of back to back open company stakes wins in dirt routes.

Hard to believe a race with a $1 million purse and graded stakes status could attract such a horrid field.

The problem with Sweet Ducky was that he was on pokey paces in those two and he was going to need a change of tactics. I doubt that's the reason why they didn't make him favorite.

The linemaker making him 8/1 on the morning line might have fanned the flames. Sheets players seem to trust morning lines more than non-sheets players.

To be fair, the morning line favorite was a total joke and was about 22-1 with 9mtp.

The best part was when Gourmet Dinner's connections said they arent even sure he wil run in the KY Derby. Of course he will cause they will sell him by then.

I just hope he can be compete and not get destroyed in the FL prep races

That is the bad thing,he will run in the Florida preps and get beat bad. Maybe the new owners will run him once and just sit him to the Derby??

Between him and Decisive Moment there are some owners who must be licking there chops to get a Derby Horse

It kind of stinks that horses who probably aren't any good basically have their Derby spot given to them if they can choose this one race to win or run well in.

Well Decisive Moment has no business in the Derby but atleast it looks like he can move the pace some what. Would rather have a horse that does that then another stalker or sprinter who dies at a mile.

Everyone knows the rules going in. Maybe you should wait before anointing every 2yo maiden winner the next Derby champion.

Excuse me? Why don't you point out to me where I've done what you're accusing me of? That will take you an awfully long time because I've never once done that.

Dialed In and Labauru are two. You start a post with these, yet you post that horses that probably aren't any good basically have their Derby spots given to them.
Not that I think either of the Calder horses will win the Derby, but they've earn their ticket.
