Joking of course. I've never even ended a year in positive territory. I doubt that I will be passing anybody up. Not that I don't have a few good notions, but finding the race or races those notions fit in is like finding a needle in the proverbial haystack. My only talent is finding a way to lose.

I am one of the Rare Species who Leaves with more money
... than what I came with at the OTB Turf Club Because..... I only play NAMES who call To Me and GRAYS ! I have had A GRAY HORSE OBSESSION My entire life Never play any horse under 12 / 1 Am never influenced by the trainer, jockey , where the horse ran or Stats And somehow that has always worked for me At the turf club I could hear all the men sitting behind me mumbling when a GRAY HORSE WON.... Saying “O LADY CAT PROBABLY HAS THAT ONE!” And of course you know I did! |

Apparently, the gray horse phenomenon is a thing. My wife's granddad used to say the same thing. I had a friend that I worked with that told me about 30 years ago, that the only way to win was the way Roamin does it. Just go all in on one horse a day, but having the attention span of a gnat, I paid him no mind. |

I got shots in both arms today. One for shingles and one for the flu. Bring on the Covid shot. I'm ready. I guessing it might be 5 or 6 months before I get that shot, but hoping I'm wrong.

After reading the portions of this thread that bemoan how difficult it is to beat this game [except for Ruff's enviable ability to show a profit], I was reminded of Mickey's Rooney's tale of his horseplaying success. He said that as a young man he went to the track and lost $5, and has spent the rest of his life trying to get even.
