I've never watched 5 minutes of the WDS but the movie Best In Show was very funny.

My vote for prettiest dog though would go to the Akita, Husky or American Eskimo.

This judge won a best in show with a Miniature Poodle in the 70's.LOL...2 seconds after they said that,he picked the Standard Poodle.Yes,it is a bit subjective.2 f'n poodles (mini, and standard) in the finals.Somebody make a Poodle Pie.Miniature Pinscher barked a little at somebody in the crowd( making barking sounds.) They don't have a shot with fem. toy group judges anyways.

Dress them like this n' maybe they will get noticed by those fem. judges.

Had the opportunity to get one from my friend Dr. John Charos, (Famed celebrity vet of Long Island), about 4 years ago, but just am not home enough to consider dog ownership. (Someone here believes I am not even capable of cat ownership...).

But the Vizsla is a remarkable breed with an amazing story. The Nazis tried to exterminate ALL of them during WWII, and it is believed there were perhaps 50 left in Europe by 1945. They date back to the Magyars (@ 900-1000 years), were bred originally by the Royal Family of Hungary, and their comeback has been carefully managed.. They're considered among the smartest breed; are athletic and tireless workers; fiercely loyal and protective; exceptional with children. And gorgeous on top of everything else..

Coonhounds have fared well over the years at Westminster I believe.. Wasn't there a young one best of group last year?

anyone who leaves an animal unattended for 2-3 weeks at a time is completely incapable of having a pet...and should not be surprised when that pet runs away.

You can watch the actual breed judging on video clips. Some won't be judged for best in breed until Tuesday, and the vids won't be up until Tuesday afternoon(more likely the evening.)

As far as the Viszla goes, those are hunting dogs.I don't mean that they use to do that.People hunt with them all the time, and therefore, they breed them towards this end. They love people.Every breed is more appropriate for some people than others. This breed has a ton of energy(which you would want in a hunting dog,)and unless they get a chance to use that energy, they can put it towards great mischief(jump fences etc.)One needs to really consider traits of a particular breed before they consider buying a type of dog.Breeders are biased towards their breed, and will tell you that there breed is no problem to own,but you need to find objective opinions about breeds. The most vanilla dog breed(meaning pretty much anybody will be able to handle owning) that I have had experience with is the Golden Retriever.

The Dandie Dinmont is owned by Bill Cosby.

6 yo was only one of his breed to enter.

Won in a 'walkover.'

Give the dog a jello pudding pop.

I may be going out on a limb here, but I think Ms. Fat Ass here in this picture may need to lose a few pounds before making her debut at Westminster next year Needless to say this is her favorite activity and her favorite position

Cajun,
I also hope for a coonhound, or maybe a visla, or the brittany (cause I've had a few). German shorthairs are nice too. Heck, a black and tan!!!
Just my two cents...it's very political.

Real people don't usually judge. My God, man, that f'n Hedge Hog Pekinese got 2nd in the Toy group. That was pathetic. It could hardly walk(it was trippin' on it's own hair.) Walked like a cripple.Atleast the judge of best in Show picked(what I consider to be)an actual dog.The Akita and that Spaniel winner were the only real dogs picked to be in the finals. They need to start the Che Che(Shee Shee) dog club of America for these f'n poodles n' Dusty Denmothers etc.
