El Championo..if you still read this, I got your note. Thank you.Will soon send something out.

Doo-Dah.

I looked at R.Grave's bio.Thinking it must have something to do with more clues.Nothing struck a nerve until until I saw the name of someone who helped with the English of his book and also associated with him in a poet's guild.

Astonishing....really was.

I have stopped...I go were I think I should and if it's where I am intended to go,then nothing really matters.

he picked her up and laid her down
covered her with a quilt

I grow weary of most everything now."When lilacs last in the dooryard bloom'd."That was th e opening line and title of this sub poim .Part of what makes L.of G.It was about Pres. Lincoln.Have the book and just noticed the person who gave it to me inscribed a Whitman line...."The poet is a recruiter.He goes forth beating the drum.O who will not join his troop?"

Very,very odd.

he kissed her face and eyes of brown
finally free from guilt

whispered in her ear
it is over,I am here
he held her close...oh so near
only to watch her....disappear

he rose up,looked in the sky
"Who is it has died? Her or I?"

he gathered himself and left Walden
the carvings weathered,no one will know

where leaves of grass ,once did grow

My friend, you've been "off the block" for awhile now but I still you.
Doo-dah!

Jesus..what is the matter with you?

The last part,you are sultry wench who knows no shame.

That is why I was hoping you would win the bidding, but oh well.

Paper-trained then? Provide your own newspapers? (After fetching them of course).

I wasn't aware of the bidding until after it was closed.

I thertainly..I mean certainly do knowetht...I mean knowest.

When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.

I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on, as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget

Houston never was a secret...was fairly obvious.

Nothing is a secret anymore.

And so.....The imaginary tale fades and makes way to what is real.

Well there I go again.

Somehow I always manage to make people angry at me.

I guess it's a gift.

Stay with me.

In an hour or two I want to impart a great sports experience my imaginary friend had.

It's really good..really,really.

I'm not going to do this thing now.

I don't feel like it.

My very good friend, Len Lenetti, told me this story.I believe him.It's a great story.

But I still dont feel like telling it.

================================================== ========

I walked the hill to reach the Akron Armory.A rather large building of old bricks,bulky,dark...old.It's called character.Looked good.

As I entered (as per instruction at the rear),I thought back of how I got here.17 years old ,Februray,one of the 1960's.Followed my Fathers interest in boxing form the Wednesday and Friday Night Fights brought to you by Gillette.I really liked Ray Robinson and Carmen Basillio.They were my size and really,really good.Later I liked Emile Griffith and Floyd Patterson a lot,although Patterson was a heavyweight and a real enigma in this "sport."I remember hearing his fights with Johanson on the radio...all 3. The first was crushing,but the next 2 thrilling.Don Dunphy did them,I think. Pretty sure.

Anyhoo---I was hooked.I got Lou what'shisnames book ( he was a big name lightwieght champion form the 30's) ...How To Box. I also studied The Ring and other boxing magazines. I would stare at the photos for hours to see the fighters body positions when they threw certain punches;how they leveraged their weight,etc.The nearest boxing club was too far away. I decided to start training myself with these perfunctory tools.I did buy a speed bag and a heavy bag and hung them in the garage.My Father helped me do this. I don't think he ever thought I would carry this through. I remember telling him of the date for my first Golden Gloves fight and ...maybe he would want to come.He just gave that look of bieng nice,but troubled by the offer and said.."No,I don't think so."We weren't real close at the time.I bought boxing gloves and soon was sparring with everyone who wanted to clock me.Kids around my age...even a couple grown men.I always told them I wouln't hit back.No one knew how to box so I was inspired.They couldn't do much even though there was no worry about any counter attack from me.My head grew large; I saw myself becoming welterweight and then middleweight champion of the world.....and then fans all over the world made the heavyweight champion sign to fight me.

I beat the dickens out of him,too.

So those were the thoughts running through my head as I approached this arena of gladitors.I reached the dressing room.Very crowded.The point was reached where someone elses corner men knew I was the only guy who didn't have anyone in his corner.It wasn't against the rules.Oh it was stupid,but not against the rules.

The one guy said.."Hey.( The Life doesn't produce the most prolific wordsmiths in the world.) You are stupid for not having any help here.Oh it's not against the rules, but it's stupid."

I just looked at him.

I found him stupid.

But he said he and the other team member would be there for me when my number was up...I mean called.

I said.."OK."

================================================== ========

So I did it...big deal, but only the first part.It's supposed to be so tantalizing,supposed to have built your interest to such a crescendo ....a point where you have got to have more.

And you will.

When I feel like it.

And you know the next half is the actual fight---and you know it's going to raise the hair on the nape of your neck and make tingling goose bumps all over your flesh.

It's really that good,too.

My next post will be that last half...maybe soon, maybe not.

So then you are neither the man in the gray suit or the man in the blue suit, so who are you then?

What happened to the cape?

And would you like to be buried in that?

Thumbs up

Granny..UPS!!......I mean ,Franny--- --oh I give up.

I'm not ready to be buried quite yet,althought there isn't much left.

Am waiting for a miracle.

Yes,that's what I said...a miracle.

Have pretty much had it with people.People are yeech teweeey's!! A few aren't,but a very few.Hey---the weirdness continues.I hadn't mentioned this,but in the middle of all those "can't be coincidences",I stopped in the local dollar store. Oh it's an extravagance for me,but every now and then ...it's good for the soul.They have this beef stew.When you remove it from the nuclear ractor it looks like an oil spill.And something called Mother Shearers ruffley chippy dippy.

But before I got to the "food" section I noticed a book sale. Hard covers for a dollar.I rifled through them and found one that sounded half good.Titled A Haunting In Cambria.

More shock.

Should have never done it.

It's starting again.

But I still can't bring it all to a boil.

Really is bugging me to no end.

The country's most haunted house is in New Orlens,no?Some day I have to go there. I won't go alone.Will you go with me? Staying the night would be thimply thmashing!! But I know you are spoken for and I only meant it as such fun scaries.....just the day tour would be good enough.Maybe one of your wuffies would take the night shift with me.I really do want to do this thing.

Gosh...am rambling.

Sorry.

Kiss-Kiss....Hug-Hug.
