Thx folks.. Glad some caught it.. Was a very good sequence. Sorry about the misprint with the 7 (as 6-Trendy Lady in the 8th) but obviously wasn't leaving the 3-5 favorite off..

I was real pleased getting Twilight Meteor on top in the Hallandale and Jambalaya in the feature.. Andy really opened my eyes on Jamba's potential there. Liked him a little Friday when capping, when on ATRAB Andy really gave him a push...

$15.00 and $16.20 respectively...

As for Magna.. It was a very tough head loss in that crappy maiden claimer to cost us all the score.. If you listened to ATRAB last night though, Andy ALSO touted this Abrams upsetter...

Hope folks did well..

Thanks Grits... I played it ... 450 and change... But I gotta give Kudos to those that touted Jambalaya.... that really helped....

Ya know, this was one Magna 5 where I feel like you and I blew it. I only handicapped the Laurel and Santa Anita races because I was going on the show. I didn't like the winner of the 6 1/2 Furlong turf race, but you obviously did, and with the 4 scratching out of the Santa Anita 4th we could easily have put this together. Did it really pay over $8K??? Was that for $1 as DRF said in the results? Missed opportunity.

Hard to complain however when I have never played the bet before....but this was the first time I ever looked at all five races.

The minimum wager is $2 and there were 56 winning tickets for $8562.20 each. I wonder how the pool sizes compared to other weeks with better or more high profile races?

As Matt said earlier it was all right in front of us in the tickets played but somehow in the flow of the day, it became less important and thus elusive......too bad it was very hittable if there is such a word.

It's always easy to say " I could have hit this " when you didn't even try to put it together. To be honest, it would have taken a real investment on my part. Assuming one ticket, I would have had to have used three at Laurel, a minimum of three at Gulfstream, probably two in the 10th at Gulf, three in the SA 4th and as many as five in the 5th. So 3 x 3 x 3 x 2 x 5 is a $540 play. Well, frankly, even splitting it I wouldn't have put that in. Now, with multiple tickets perhaps it would have been less, but the Sa 4th winner would not have been an A which means somehow the SA 5th winner would have had to have been at least a B and I'm not sure that would have happened....at least for me. Thus, the lessen is, especially in complicated bets, saying " I could have hit that " is simply BS as having the winners and getting them all on the same ticket are two very different things.....at least depending on bankroll or investment.

That's too bad ( though I bet Jambalaya to win so I won't cry too hard for you ) but it would have paid SIGNIFICANTLY less if she had won. Jambalaya was the biggest priced winner.

yes exactly if you look at our group plays mag 5 thread..i tried to back the strongest angles as the ticket unfolded.. i was wrong that honey rider was the correct play to go big with..in fact the horse you and steve also liked jamb..was the one to include heavy......

You were only wrong in resulting and you had to take a stand somewhere to make your ticket managable. If you put $600 - $800 you probably would have hit it.
