I met them when we all were on "pickets" in 1973 grocery strike in SoCal!
I don't think they all died... just probably retired and went back home. We played cards and I listened to all their stories...cracking up...they were from the Meatcutters Union....which is all but dissolved into the Clerks' Union! That's prolly more info than you wanted to know

Ya got that right. I will be honest, when I first had someone ask me over for a bbq and to watch the race....I was like, "If I wanna see horse power, I will put TVG on, or go to the track". But I went and after about the 2nd race I started looking for the same car and now I fully admit I am a total Nascar fan. Been to several races, watch every week and my trucks license plate has my drivers number (17) on it. Call me a dork if ya want but I love it.
