All that damn education and I miss the sophisticated humor.

Indeed, but how many of these don't?
You'd probably have just enough fingers on your hand to count them. |

i usually have a fairly good idea by now who i'm starting to lean towards. this year? pffft.
if eight belles runs, i'll root for her. it's the whole girl vs the boys thing there tho, not necessarily because i think she's got the best shot.

Picking the horse most likely to win this year is easy, IMO. It's Big Brown. Anyone disagree with that? I'd gladly take Big Brown in a head-to-head (win only) matchup against any other horse.
Finding a horse to bet on is another story. I doubt Big Brown's Derby odds will be attractive. TheGreek has him at 3.05-1 in a future right now. If you factor in the chance he doesn't even make the starting gate, it's about like getting 5-2 on Derby Day. Not enough, IMO. --Dunbar

The problem is not only getting fair odds, but the much-talked about lack of experience and conditioning. Maybe the rest of this crop is so lackluster that Big Brown will be able to overcome it? |
