good minds think alike. I've got Kris Silver in the 2nd... my sister's got Hype.
we both wanted to avoid the short field maiden race (I like picking the short field if viable, since better chance to advance).

only 2028 left (over 60% already out). glad I didn't pick the maiden race, because I would have taken go-go's horse that was off the board.

I laid off the maidens as well and went with the HYPE....

Looking ahead to thursday

Race 1 could be tricky

GoGo on cat-snipe is an unknown speedball... could throw a wrench in things

One Union is one I am looking at ... the layoff is a bit of a concern especially if snipe and hewitts make it a three way speed duel.... but 3 straight 100-3 works are a little reassurance...

Carrilero is one that could be in the top 3 no matter what the pace scenario... puype is + roi on the layoff and valdivia knows the horse... and 2 wins out of 3 on the course

Race 4... hmmm may lay off this one ... but Purrfectly fitting has the rail... a class drop... but is coming off layoff and pulled up last year first off layoff... Cassidy is 0-fer and Flores <10% at meet... this is the best horse in the race but maybe next out...???

Race 7 is probably where I will go.... Blue Exit was respected during OakTree meet but failed to show up.. Monster Work 1/16... but Bejarano elsewhere...

Rocket Leggs-- GOGO and Pletcher but almost a year off and uninspiring works...

Star Nicholas a couple bullets recently 3 good races in a row... Eurton on FIRE and with MC Baze 27% and +1.23... but others have been racing against much better...

Bejarano ends up on ZAPPA ... held his own against G1 foes... 10 of 11 ITM at distance... couple of maintenance works after wiring performance at same level a month ago... my probable play for Thursday

Hewitts also looks dangerous in the 1st. Seems to have taken to the turf. If not for Zappa in the 7th, I'd probably go with Hewitt in the 1st.

Not sure yet who I'll land on but one of these four:

Race 1, I like#1 Carrilero. 2 for 3 ITM down the hill, won off a layoff last race down the hill and placed in the G1 Mailbi as a 3 y.o.

Race 3, looks like #3 Solo Piano is lone speed and a solid play, but maidens scare me as does the layoff and first time down the hill.

In Race 6 I like # 7 Mini Do. She's won down the hill, is 7 of 9 lifetime ITM, and Canini is on fire this meet with 11 of 15 runners ITM.

In Race 7, Zappa looks like needs the lead type and while his class and speed figures are to be respected, I think he may get into a duel with Our Partner, and perhaps Silent Soul, so I'm staying away from him. Also staying away from Pletcher and Hollendorfer classy runners off the bench which leaves me looking at #1 Star Nicholas, 8 of 9 lifetime ITM on Synthetics, won a two turn mile on the Pro-Ride at SA out of the 1 hole on 9/24/08, 3rd off layoff, should like the stretch out and Eurton's stats are quite impressive. Might not win but looks like my play.

Best of Luck to all.

I'm going to try Towzee in the first. Didn't want to take Zappa, as my sister has that one (and would like not to have both of us go out on the same horse).

Phew I almost very nearly forgot about this contest since it hadn't been going on in a few days.

I'm going with Hewitts Race 1

Took #3 Lowther Street in Race 4. Hit the Board in two routes on the Pro-Ride. All he has to do is beat one since two of the six entries scratched.

wavering between 3 choices, all i think excellent shots to hit the board

2nd african gray

3rd air strike

4th lowther street

if one of them doesn't make it, that'll be the one i took
