Wagon? I'm not rooting for the Yankees. Just being logical. I dont think NY has come close to playing their best baseball this postseason (yet they have dropped a total of 2 games and 0 at home. On the flip side, I think Philadelphia is a really good team who has been playing very well in the post.
My prediction is both teams play well and all games are close, but the Yankees win every one of them. If it were the Dodgers or the Rockies I might actually care who wins this. But I dont.

Phils will make the Yanks pitchers work hard, and throw strikes. Both teams have power, and both are weak getting to their closer. I'm not going against that fkn Victorino. These guys have a way of setting a tone. That tone is :

"We think we are too good to lose this. Damn we are confident. I hope you don't have your heart set on winning this thing, cuz it's ours."

I don't think the YANKS have seen or felt this....ever. That attitude the Phils have tends to make the other team perform way below their ability. The Reds had this thing in the mid 70's. These are some confident sonbitches. That's the thing the YANKS are going to feel right away. Normally, it's the Yanks that have the advantage in confidence. The Phils have a way of killing that very quickly. Twice my team went in there on a roll, and got cut up. They performed waaaaay below their ability. Just look at that fkn Utley get up on top of that plate. Their whole plan is to make the pitcher feel trapped. You throw a strike. They'll hit it. If you don't throw a strike, then they won't swing (hardly at all.)Your pitcher can't throw a strike? Oh, you gunna get the gang rape. Yanks better play their ass off. These aren't Halos. I'll be betting the Phils, and believe me, I won't be upset if I lose. I'll tape it. To see that Victorino brought down to Earth would be just fine with me. Yanks better not start slow. You will never catch up. The only way I can see the Yanks winning it is if they get the 1st game. You win that, and you've got a shot at putting some doubt in the Phils' heads. Trust me, they have zero doubt right now.

As a Yankee fan, by no means do I think that this is going to be a cakewalk (for either team). I almost think that the Phillies are a carbon copy of the Yankees. Solid lineup with no weak links, excellent starting pitching and questions in the bullpen (Phillies with their closer and the Yanks with the Bridge to Mariano).
I'm estatic that the Yanks are back in the series and they have played well so far, but they have also benifited from some very sloppy play from the Twinkies and the Halos. Also a call here and there went their way. That being said, they have left a ton of men on base and at times couldn't even put the ball in play just to advance runners. But at the end it did seem like some of the guys started to come out of their funks.
I do really want to believe that the Yanks are the better team here. They are a much different animal then prior years, but deep down I know how good the Phillies are. They are a scrappy team that is very versitile. They can kill you with the long ball and they can equally play small ball and kill you with their speed. Obviously the CC vs Lee matchups will have a huge impact on the series. With them being scheduled to face each other 3 times if needed. Can A-Rod continue to be locked in? Can Texiera regain his MVP caliber form at the plate? Will Matsui be able to come out of his rut and hit a ton of left hand pitching? Which AJ Burnett will see (and who will catch)? Hughes and Chamberlain? This team does have some questions marks going into the series. Another thing is, willJoe Girardi over coach and be out coached. He did make a few suspect moves in the Angels series. Now he will have to deal with the NL rules when playing in Philly (I know he coached in Florida for a year).
People want to say that the Yanks are perfect and it will be a sweep. I personally think that is very far fetched. But I do think that they will end up pulling it out. Like I said, they are a different animal from years past. I will say Yanks in a very tough 7 games (obviously I'm biased) and A-Rod will continue to be in the zone and win the MVP.

They're still playing baseball?

There is so much time between games, it seems like football.

no there isnt at all. Its nothing like football or even basketball. Its just the stupid people who made the starting date for the Series. During all playoff series they play baseball every day unless they are traveling, then they get 1 day off to travel on.

Its just the break between the Pennant series and the world series that is really annoying. I guess they just plan for the series to go 7 games and then plan in a two day break. Still.. I think it should just be based on when teams actually finish a series.

LOL..It's actually a pretty close match up. I am taking the Phils because right now they simply don't doubt their abilities at all. Their attitude is kin to that of the Turks invading Northern Cyprus. "A retarded Greek Woman? We rape her, too. No special treatment." Not that the Phils are rapists, but they don't fear a thing right now. I'm stunned that the odds are anywhere near 8/5 on the Phils. Yankees seem to always be overbet. I Don't think either one should be favored by much..So, girl do you like to drink Hpnotiq pussies?

Series goes the distance

Backyard brawl has potential to be one of the best in recent history, in my estimation

Werth has another big Series at the plate

Red team prevails...

Yankee will all wear those stupid Elmer Fud hats in 3 games. Arod will wear one for all the games to cover his Shrek looking head.

A-Rod – 18/12
Melky – 9/4
Jeter – 13/5
Posada – 14/8
Damon – 17/7
Matsui – 13/15
Cano – 14/11
Teixeira – 24/15
Swisher – 8/21
The away park isnt a pitchers paradise
