Honestly, do you really think a win against the Royals in April is as important as a win against a divisional rival, fighting for a playoff spot in September?

The Mets, this season, would have gladly won a big game in September. You can always make up for a loss in April in any of the remaining months. You don't have much time to make up a few key losses in September.

Yes he does.

That's him....everything is slow.....even when he actually gets to a ball.He does turn the dp well and has an above average arm...but his range and quickness just aren't there. Sometimes he'll go left and get there, but he can't bend down far enough to get the ball! NOT KIDDING!

My bet is he won't be here next year. Shapiro himself said he's seen him play 3rd in the minors.....it wasn' pretty.

A win is a win is a win. They all count for 1.

If you win in April and May then maybe you wont need to win as much in Sept. Each months wins are very important. To say a win in Sept is as important as a win in April is silly to me.

You are right. I know the Rockies wish they would have had the winning streak they had in April, rather then in September.

They do, but some are more important then others, you have to agree with that.

I agree that mentally for a team a win at an important time can be a big win

It took the Rockies 90 wins to clinch the wild card. What makes a difference how those 90 wins were allocated over the season? Perhaps if they won 12 out of 14 in April instead of going 10-16 in that month then they would have pushed for 1st place in their division. Every win and loss counts the same. I do agree that a good win is important for the big "MO."
