This is NOT one of those conspiracy posts to lay groundwork in case Boston wins. Rather, I am just pointing out what an incredible bust a world series would be between the rays and the phils. It would be up there amongst the worst ever ratings wise.
Count me among those who dont give a damn what the rating are. I will watch because I am a fan of baseball. If the fair weather fans or "mainstream' people dont watch it is fine with me. Maybe if we can get the audience down to just baseball fans they will give us baseball announcers again? Screw Fox. Just because a bunch of 'homer' Boston fans dont watch doesnt mean it wont be a good series.

I agree, screw FOX, the last thing I want to see is the judges from So You Think You Can Dance giving out the starting line-ups or the Hell's Kitchen douchebag leading us in Take Me Out To The Ballgame. The Prison Break dudes hanging out in the bullpen, John Walsh investigating the ground rules....

Don't get me going on that. I've been a Sox fan forever and went through a lot of very difficult years. Now, you have these idiots that claim to be Red Sox fans who don't know who Bucky "#@$%&*% Dent is or who the Sox played in the '75 Series. Idiots!

What was unique about Butch Hobson's first ML homer? I was at that game against the Orioles.

No google. There aren't too many unique Home Runs.

No clue on the first name.

I went to a Sox game this year and sat in the bleachers for $75 a rip. No problem, but after the game I wanted to go to the Beerworks. There was a line. Sorry, I'm not standing in line to get into a bar that became popular because of this Red Sox nation/Fever Pitch nonsense. Found several other bars to accomodate my needs.

I don't know.. Wasn't the Subway Series one of the worst-rated World Series of all time? Maybe it's just because I'm a New Yorker, but I would've thought that would've gotten big ratings.

I'll be watching Rays/Phils if it happens, for sure.
