Cool bcs chump game a joke! utah champ read reilly on espn.com

Was I the only one who thought the game sucked! So sick of hearing florida is that good. Ya ya ya... Just read on espn site that ap voters have to vote for winner of bcs chump game no 1. What a joke. Then after game is over bama said they didn't show up whatever. You got beat up get over it and you can't tell me utah couldn't play with either ou or gator. Another joke of bcs year. Want to read a good article on it check out rick reilly's articile on espn. Wouldn't it be nice if we had the semis this week. usc vs florida and texas vs utah. then 2 meet and real champ. Not florida as bcs chump!

always been in the past that the coaches pool had to vote for the BCS champ game winner.... AP could do whatever they wanted, which is why they dropped them from being in the BCS formula.

Looked like a couple high-school squads out there for much of the football contest.

Penalties, picks, dropped passes ... pretty sloppy stuff from supposed elite clubs.

Not only would SC be favored over the Alligators (or Yutes, for that matter), but I have absolutely no doubt that they would prevail comfortably on the field.

In fact, Alligator fans should get down on their knees right now and thank their maker that, because of this ridiculous, flawed system, their team didn't have to face the cardinal and gold in that final game...

Luckily there's nothing to worry about from the Trojans in 2009-2010 either because of the dreaded trip to Oregon that beckons.

I agree with everything you just said (did i just type that????).

USC beats both of those teams last night comfortably.

I think it is safe to say that with a playoff system in place, USC would have won at least 4 titles during the Pete Carroll era.

What could you possibly have to back up that statement?

They clearly wouldn't have won in 2006 when they lost the championship game. Are you assuming because they beat overmatched Big 10 rivals in home games that they would have automatically won the MNC each year?

I think it is safe to say that with a BCS system in place, New England would have won at least 13 titles during the Bill Belichick era.

Just an opinion thats all. I think they won outright one year. They were screwed out of it another year although they were undefeated. I think they were the best team in college football this year and in 2006 as well.

I cant back my statement up though. Its just my opinion from watching the games. The USC teams have had a level of speed and quality unmatched over the last 8 years in my opinion.

I should have said 2005, the year they lost the Championship Game to Texas.

The thing that I'm just so tired of hearing is every year when the BCS games roll around, USC beats up on a scrub from a remarkably weak conference in a home game and everyone crows about how they should be the National Champion.

I suppose I've been jaded ever since ESPN ran a series on the 2005 USC team being the greatest ever with Mark May saying they would have beaten any of the 10 best teams chosen for comparison when they hadn't even finished the season yet. Then they lost.

The Trojans ought to do something they haven't done in a while next year. Win all of their conference games, including the ones to unheralded programs like Stanford. Then they can be where they always assume they belong, the National Championship game.

I understand the frustration with outward demonstrations of Christianity and/or wearing one's religion on their sleeve. That's a private matter which a person should handle in a private way.

That being said, I'm sure Tim Tebow is a wonderful person with a bright future as a linebacker or running back in the NFL.

you are SO wrong about this! usc can't not string together 2-3 top level performances to win in a playoff. they wouldn't have 6 weeks to prepare for a team and they would be play top teams 2-3 weeks in a row.
