Real fun time yesterday! The Dee Tee crew was absolutely bonkers in the winner's circle as Lloyd made his stretch drive. Think that was the first time my son got that "rush" from racing. Was great.
Big thanks to Gary, Steve and Chuck. Was a great call by Durkin too. Looking forward to the next run. Last edited by pmacdaddy : 04-04-2010 at 11:15 AM. |

Lloyd
Nothing wrong with a 3rd and 2nd in the MSW races at NY tracks. Money and money.... Still have the condition and would expect him to break his maiden next time out....Got to like those Smarty Jones offspring..... He is turning out to be quite a nice sire....
Congrats to all involved and good news that Lloyd came out of his race in good shape. Looks like one more try at Aqueduct before the Belmont meet starts. PSH

Some pictures from yesterday
Another great day at the Big A. As everyone already saw, Lloyd looked great. I was cheering him on so much in the stretch that my photos got a bit blurry. It was really nice to see everyone, although still gnashing my teeth about missing the exacta, trifecta and super when Gary's horse ran lights out!! I got over it by being happy for Gary, but it was a big miss - Nick and I were watching it and looked at each other with our mouths hanging open. I think Nick said something like, "Hey, that's Gary's horse lighting it up!" It was a beautiful day but started to get pretty cold as the day wore on. I have pictures of Paul's (pgiaco) firster, Crescent Moon and some shots from the Wood - will try to post them later. Here are some pictures from Lloyd's race:

Tremendous job by the entire team. Lloyd has a lot of heart. It won't be long. The pictures of the stretch run are unbelievable! Viewing them makes you feel like your you're there.

Made trip with my father in law to Belmont this AM to visit Lloyd. Folks in the Sciacca barn were super nice and accomodating.
After the barn, got to hang out at training track for a while and watch Lloyd jog. He looks great and everyone there seems thrilled with him. |

Thanks, was sort of hoping the race would come off. Not sure how he will handle 2 turns and the grass....But Gary's been making all the right moves lately so we'll see what happens.
