Not until the early '80s. He was the radio guy for the great Grand Rapids Owls in the late '70s.

Bannerman's best season IMO was in the early 80's maybe '82 when Tony O was getting older. Remember a great playoff series that year with the North Stars (Hawks won) and pretty sure Foley was around for that.

Lloyd Petit for 17 years, 4 years of dead air with nondescript 'personalities' followed by 25 years of Pat Foley.

Twas a very good evening all around. Let's just hope that your prophecies end with the Conference Finals.

Flyguys are playing some STELLAR puck for Pete Laviolette right now on all fronts. Sad to say though, that the Western Conference teams seem to be on their own level of existence. Anything can happen though.

There's a neighborhood kid around here that has been in a wheelchair for his whole life. He BLEEDS orange and black, probably more than I bleed Eagle green. He's been hospitalized with complications of his illness ever since the day after game 5 of the Bruins series. I bumped into his sister yesterday, and she said it seems like half the hospital watches the game in his hospital room. She told me that Timmy just KNOWS that this is their year. I'm inclined to think along those lines as well, esp. with Leighton transforming into a brick wall like he's been.

It has been 21 years since I lived in the philadelphia area and the flyers are the only team I have stuck with from philly. I still have a Tim Kerr and Tochett jerseys laying around. It would be great to see a Blackhawks/Flyers cup. I can still remember as a little kid ripping a slapshot at the flyers carnival against Hextall. Bobby Clark lived in the neighborhood next door and had a pool shaped in the flyers logo. Hope this is the year, especially for your neighbor Timmy! It has been 35 long years!

Who's that Leighton kid..oh yeah..an ex HAWK

I'm glad for him..he was here when the team the Hawks put in front of him was pathetic at best and beyond description. He always tried hard and never bitched about anything. Good to see him get what he deserves

So far so good for the Flyers.

Go Habs....I hate to see a sweep. Not that I ever liked Montreal, but come on make a series of it!

I'm sure Bettman called the fix in to the refs. Disgraceful the amount of missed calls in tonights game thus far, but none more embarrasing than Pronger's whiff of the clear attempt.

Looking good for the Hawks...just hope the "Curse of Hossa" doesn't get them like it did the Wings and Pens.

lol. As a Flyer fan that appears to be our only hope (if they are lucky enough to advance). The Blackhawks look unbeatable if their goaltending holds up.

Talk about a rebound game by the Flyers!! If they continue to play like that, the Blackhawks are in for a surprise that they might not want.

Enjoy the game Bob!! May your dream come true!! I have my brother Matt working on tickets for tomorrow night's game here in the Delph. If he comes through, he can have my two Roy Halladay bobbleheads and a few extra dollars on top.

Girouuuuuuuuuuuuuuxxxxxxxxxxx!!! As the announcer said, "Giroux's a superstar, it's not a stretch, it's reality."

Just wish the game was a couple hours later. First sunny/85 degree day.
