i'm supposed to be going. i got tickets, i got hotel reservations.

and then my best friend ruined my year by deciding to have her wedding the night before in Chicago. since i'm her "man of honor" I can't miss it.

It was going to be my first breeder's cup too. i'll try again next year.

I am sorry for the bad timing. My husband and I are driving down from New Jersey. We are winging it...no reservations or tickets. We plan on stopping in Lexington and driving on to Louisville in the morning of the big day.

that's bold. very bold. luckily it will end early enough in the day where you can get some driving under your belt after the event if hotels are hard to come by!

We expect accommodations to be available 75 miles outside of Louisville.

see Dellinger, this scenario is possible

ok Brian~ pass your tickets on to me, and next time I'm in Chicago I'll take you to Navy Pier and treat you to shrimp at Bubba Gump's then sing "Hail to the Victors" to all the patrons...sound fair?

sadly you're a bit too late. i would gladly have taken you up on that offer -- but as circumstances have it, i was going to take my mother to the BC because we both wanted to go.

we promised the tickets and our hotel reservation to one of her coworkers.

your bad luck that i waited all this time to come over from the espn boards!

yea the portland experiment ended when i graduated from college and didn't have financial aid to buy food anymore i actually can't wait to move back.

ended up back in chicago and then got bored of that again, and now I'm in ann arbor, MI working for comcast here. some "love" thing got the best of me and brought me here.

basically i get around

i'm glad i finally came over here, i was gone from the espn boards for a long long time, and went back and realized it sucks and saw a post about this place. much much better.

and music has been on and off -- quit smoking finally last month so hopefully i'll get back into it in the coming months here. thanks for asking!

what was your Username over there?
